Beautiful renovated cottage in Mersham Ashford Kent

This was our second stay at this lovely cottage, we love everything about it, the location, the peaceful village and stunning views.

We loved everything

Fire was amazing and location beds were also very comfy.

It could of done with a hoover especially the stairs and toilet was left a bit yuk but everything else was amazing.

very nicely decorated, kitchen had everything one might need, TV had Netflix, everywhere clean and well kept, plenty of logs for the wood burner, handy pub next door which also has takeaway facility, pretty village.

bathroom very narrow so WC squashed against shower screen so not suitable for larger people! very well appointed and clean though.

Kitchen is well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Has an excellent shower. The cottage is just a minutes walk to The Royal Oak pub which served lovely meals. Hosts very helpful.

No off road parking and we were lucky to get a space opposite the cottage. No central heating, and just a log burner in the lounge. No live TV which was a disappointment. Bathroom is very tight. Nothing available to empty the ashes .

The cottage has everything you need and more for your stay. We stayed for 12 nights and had no problems: the property is nice, cozy and warm, the bed is very comfortable, and it does even have an air fryer! The Wi-Fi works great (I even worked from there for a few days), and the hosts are incredibly friendly and pleasant: whenever we needed help, they responded immediately and helped us solve any issues. The area is very beautiful and far from the city (although easily reachable by car in a few minutes), which is exactly what we were looking for. We looked at multiple options and chose this one at the last minute because our original reservation elsewhere turned out to be a scam, and we wish we had booked here from the beginning. Can't recommend it enough.

Cleanliness (especially of the floor) could be improved, but nothing major.

Beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed for our one night stay (family of 4 plus a dog). Very clean! In addition, very close to the Eurotunnel, which is excellent for travelling to Europe. We stayed on our way home.
