The Garden Studio

We loved how cosy, warm and beautifully decorated the place is. It doesn't feel like a hotel but a home away from home. The bed is very comfortable, and the reading armchair is a great touch and adds a lot of charm to the room. The other thing we really liked is that the studio is very close to the town centre and offers easy access to forest walks. Last but not least, James is a wonderful and welcoming host.

Lovely comfortable luxury property, tastefully fitted out and ideally located a short walk into Dorking. Situated in a quiet residential area. James was very welcoming and friendly, helpful with local advice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely meal at the newly renovated Surrey Yeoman pub.

What a gem. This quirky studio was clean well maintained with excellent choices of decor it was cozy and very comfortable. A bottle of wine was in the fridge so we could put our feet up and relax. Shall most definitely be using again

Beautifully presented and furnished. Very comfy bed. Quiet location (not sound proofed as suggested) with a n easy walk into Dorking for shops and restaurants.

Check in is not permitted until 4pm and I had to call Booking.com to get the door code as owner had forgotten we had a booking. Don’t get into the property until almost 5pm. We wanted to self cater but the kitchenette only came with one saucepan presumably to enforce the owners request for only gentle/light cooking. Basically they only want you to reheat soup or a can of baked beans. Very disappointed with this element of the stay.

Quiet, walk to town was easy. Beautiful grounds to relax in.

They location just off the Dorking High Street was brilliant. The actual accommodation was bright and clean. Had everything you needed for a little get away. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. The little dog Harry was a delight and friendly.

I didn't like how near it was to the house. It's literately right next to the main house's kitchen. What don't help is the main house kitchen has bi-fold doors so completely looks onto the guest property. It felt really quite weird being within their garden and being so overlooked. It was glorious weather but we didn't feel comfortable sitting on the outdoor seats provided because we were so exposed to them. It's a shame it doesn't have some kind of shrubs or something to just give a bit of privacy. The dog Harry was an absolute delight, so friendly, and we would have stroked him much more but he was rather smelly - needed a good bath.

This is an outstanding apartment, it has been beautifully furnished and designed with no expenses spared. Comfort exceeded expectations.The location is ideal as the town centre is easily accessed but there is good parking and also easy access to beautiful walks. I have a health issue and found accessibility to the accommodation good.

For me I would have preferred greater accessibility to cooking. I need to cook all my own foods for health reasons and there was a request just to reheat and light cooking which i respected.

Great quiet location with parking and easy flat access. All on one level. Plenty of storage for cases when empty. Clean and felt new.

Needs a couple of hooks for coats somewhere.
