Gorgeous Central Hastings Old Town

1....very clean 2..great location 3...amazing bathrooms and toilets 4...well equipped kitchens 5...generous lounge 6...quiet 7...smells beautiful inside A very enjoyable stay. Easy to check in and out. Will definitely come again. Don't ask how I know.....but the carpet in the room smells amazing (I laid on it and jumped out from bed to scare hubby !!!!).

Nothing to dislike but in places, only small places, the building could do with a lick of paint.

The bed is comfortable and the room itself is well presented in general.

It is difficult to find. The photo is not particularly clear. When I got there the email instructions were wrong. I could not get in. I rang the bell and the man on the other end refused to help. Told me they had texted me. I said I couldnt receive it could he give me the code. He said no. I asked him then could he come to help? He refused - saying he was 15 minutes away (not a long way in my opinion). He refused to tell me the code. After a while he relented. It still didn't work. At this point I stopped the conversation as he was being very belligerent and rude. Eventually I managed to juggle the door open. Inside, notwithstanding the decent bed, the condition was uncared for with scratches all over the wall and paintwork, filthy doors, and unfinished surroundings (the tv is not mounted on the wall, just balanced on a table, for example. The room smelt bad like wet dog. The toilet was broken and filled with excrement. It had been sellotaped closed but this does not stop the smell. The flush mechanism was broken. The feces in particular was completely disgusting. If they sellotaped it closed they knew very well it was there and should have had it removed,cleaned and fixed immediately. I believe this is a legal requirement. The other toilet had no seat. The third bathroom was in condition but not singposted at all. I didn't know where it was. When I told them about this they chose to be argumentative again, telling me first it wasn't there and couldn't be, and when I showed them photos they tried to deny it was their responsibility. The WiFi code didn't work. Another of the information that was incorrect in the emailed communication. They wouldn't give me the code when I was asking again and again. Only relented when I told them I would complain to Booking.com. Completely refused to resolve the issue. Just argued on the phone. Late at night, after the stress already taken, this was extremely rude.

Okay for a last moment hotel when your stranded in Hastings

You have to ring a ring door bell to get in and the guy that answered was extremely rude and wasn’t answering our questions. Place had a very unsafe and weird vibe . We were both drunk when we arrived and still felt uncomfortable and unsafe . The toilet has no toilet seat , bathroom was filled with opened condoms and there was a strange kitchen room that had about 3 bags of rubbish in
