"Would definitely go again."

10.0

Location was lovely and well presented. Accommodation was bigger than I was expecting and the kitchen was well equipped. Staff where lovely , efficient and accommodating,

Accommodation would have benefited from a instruction sheet for using the boiler and shower. We had to ask for maintenence to come out to explain both. Staff where brilliant and sent someone right away but an instruction leaflet would have made this unnecessary.

"Not a bad place just needs a bit of a revamp"

8.0

Nice location

Caravans need a bit of revamp. The caravan we stayed in had rusty radiators in the bathrooms, the show seal was hanging loose and the mirrors were worn. There were also bleach marks on the kitchen sides.

"Safe and family friendly place"

8.0

Lake Rookley is a family friendly place to stay. We stayed with 4 under 5's and it was safe accommodation.

Swimming pool was small only one or two family can enter at a time. Minimal activities to do with toddlers

The location was brilliant, with easy access to what we wanted to do while we were here. The view of the lake was lovely.

There was no Wi-Fi, so when it was raining and we couldn't do anything, we couldn't even watch Netflix, which was a huge disappointment. The noises coming from all the neighbors screaming and shouting in the early morning and the children having Nerf gun fights also in the early morning. It would have been nice for a little security to come around and ask them to keep it quiet out of respect for others staying here. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the light in the en suite kept shutting off after a few minutes whilst showering, which is dangerous. The shower in the en suite had splits in the pipe, the shower heads were extremely dirty, so I had to clean them myself. We had a lot of ants in our cabin, which was off-putting.

Location and layout of the park.

Shame there was no entertainment, even at the weekend. I guess it's too expensive outside of school holidays but missed not having anything at all.

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would re-book if we could be sure of a comfortable night's sleep!"

8.0

Rookley Lakes Holiday Park is set in beautiful surroundings. It's not an overwhelming size, and is just a lovely place to relax and be. The caravan itself was very clean, and generally comfortable, and the kitchen supplied an adequate amount of utensils etc. If you don't want to drive, there's a bus stop quite near the front entrance, and the bus service round the island is exceptional.

The accommodation was let down by a cheap, thin mattress on the double bed which was difficult to get any sleep on. One of us had to de-camp to a single bed which was only slightly more comfortable, but that would only work for a small adult (and no kids already in the second bedroom!). I'm not sure if in high season there would be sufficient car parking space near the accommodation?
