Room was lovely and spacious. Swimming pool was very clean and tidy. Little touches make all the difference like tea and fruit, towels and flip-flops. Sauna was also great.

"Beautiful hotel, lovely gardens and nice pool/fitness centre"

9.0

Beautiful location, lovely pool, spectacular gardens

Bar prices were eye watering expensive. No shampoo in our room, shower over the bath wasn’t the best.

"Not bad, overall alright but was better before"

This is the second time we stay at Tylney Hall but this time we stayed with our dog. All the unpleasant things are below. This stay was less amazing in terms of facilities as you can see from below, but very pleasant in terms of our dog liking the grounds a lot!!! The porter helped us to bring our numerous dog bags, very good service. The towel rack in the room is actually hot which is great!!! The water gets hot in the shower which is amazing! Love it. Room service is very tasty! Grounds are great for dogs!!! Our dog didn’t want to go home inside and wanted to stay outdoors! Pretty and well kept woods, with ponds and blossoming bushes, pretty! Beds are very comfy!! The dog welcome treats are great, thank you, our dog absolutely loved them!!! And this is the first hotel which actually treats dogs with their own toys and treats in the room, we travel a lot with our dog and never seen this nice dog welcoming gift before. The swimming pool and sauna are great, and they have free fruit in the spa area as well as tea. We had to eat breakfast in the library because people who try dogs are not allowed to the main restaurant, but it was nice because there was nobody there, very quiet. We had to go a long way to get food from the main restaurant but it wasn’t a problem.

When I communicated to the hotel through booking.com platform one month before our stay, the hotel didn’t bother letting us know about the discount they had for our dates so we paid full price and I only found out about discount after we already paid full price. We had to stay in the garden room because of our dog, as garden rooms are dog friendly. The carpet in our room was filthy and not vacuumed properly, only the main visible areas were vacuumed in the middle of the room, but on the the edges of the room and under armchairs areas there were thousands of dead insects lying down around the room, so we had to pick them up because our dog would have eaten them. Definitely not dog friendly cleaning. I found a used bottle lead on the floor right after we checked in. So cleaning is bad, worse than back to 2019 when we first time stayed here. The shower pressure is non existent in room 107. And the shower hose is half broken. There is a tray charge £5 for each room service and there is service charge 12.5% all for each room service, which is over the top. Bathroom is old, much older and shabbier than the main building which is unfair because I had to pay the same price for the much more simple decor room because I was with my dog, the price which I would pay for the main manor posher room, and I stayed in main manor room before - they are much more posher and nicer than garden rooms, so the dog owners have to suffer and pay the same price for shabbier room, not fair.

"It felt like a haven, the grounds were gorgeous and the hotel was perfect."

The breakfast was great, the grounds are incredible and the staff are friendly

The only fault I have is that the room was far too hot at night so had difficulty sleeping.

"Would love to go back, especially in the better weather to enjoy the grounds at there best"

We had a wonderful couple days here, celebrating my friends big birthday. The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. The food that we had was fabulous.

I have to say there was nothing we didn’t like or could find with. I guess the only thing was going outside to get into the spa treatment area as we had our robes in and it was windy and rainy!

Staff were lovely our bed was comfy and the setting is beautiful!

It’s looking a bit tired now and needs refurbishment. The chairs in the restaurant have even lost all their seat padding 😬🫣
