"Nice but not worth the price"

Architecture of the building, lovely grounds

Service very slow at the terrace and in the lounge bar, average continental breakfast for a 4 star hotel (not many bread options, no vegetal yogurt, not many variety of ham/cheese etc.). Indoor pool very dated and not well maintained (dirty glass roof, dirty changing rooms)

"Lovely and indulgent country escape"

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful grounds, great facilities including the heated outdoor pool. Good food and lovely property.

There was no service outside by the pool when we were there. So we had to go to reception to ask for drinks which is not ideal in dressing gowns. More benches should be scattered around the woodlands to appreciate it.

"Almost perfect stay with a minor frustration meaning a 9 and not a 10"

Very helpful staff and sorted a lovely room for us to stay in. Isabelle our waitress in the evening was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.

Very minor point but these things matter ..Bit disappointed we couldn't have one scoop of Ice Cream with out chocolate desert without paying an extra £12.
