WM Garden Cottage

We were three couples traveling together, and the apartment was perfect for a social weekend. It’s within walking distance of the city center, and when we didn’t feel like walking, Uber was easy to use and very affordable. The place was clean and well-maintained, with spacious rooms and bathrooms, a lovely outdoor area, and a kitchen fully equipped with everything you need. The host was also very friendly and easy to reach before and throughout our stay.

We had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage. It was the perfect base for exploring Edinburgh, with everything we needed close by while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The house itself was absolutely immaculate—beautifully presented and clearly very well cared for. It felt warm, welcoming, and truly gorgeous throughout. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches from the host, such as the supplies left for us on arrival. It made us feel instantly at home and added a personal touch that made our stay even more special.

May was an awesome host. We appreciated the treats she left us, after a long trip, it was very welcoming. Thank you!! and the carrot cake was amazing !! I wished I had the recipe. :-) The location was central, private, and the house was very homey. We wished we stayed longer so we could enjoy the amenities.

The location was excellent. About a ten minute walk to the University of Edinburgh and then another ten minutes on from there to Edinburgh Castle. Then an easy walk to the city center. The breakfast supplies that were provided were a lovely touch and the layout of the apartment was well thought out. Downstairs kitchen with all new appliances and completely re-done very recently, as well as a movie room and a living room-type lounge area. Very spacious. Three bedrooms on the first-floor with *very* comfortable beds and nice, new bathrooms. Every room was very comfortable. The apartment was easy to access when we first arrived; the instructions were clear and well itemized, making getting in when we first arrived relatively easy.

Fantastic property with comfortable beds. Communication was great prior to arrival and we even had cake and breakfast items upon arrival which was so welcoming! Thank you. Easy transport links to train station and old/new town.

Sehr erfahrene und engagierte Gastgeber, haben Fragen und Probleme sofort gelöst! Die Unterkunft ist grosszügig und stilvoll eingerichtet, Küche perfekt, sogar eigenes Home Kino, das für einen Fussball Abend klasse war! Zu Beginn war alles da: Butter, Marmelade, Milch, Kaffee und sogar eine gefüllte Bar mit Whisky usw…. Perfekt!! Von Anfang an haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Einiges kommt langsam in die Jahre… an ein paar Flecken an den Wänden und ein paar Spinnweben etc darf man sich nicht stören …die Lage ist ruhig und mit dem Bus easy für alles in der Stadt… aber liegt nicht in einem Trendviertel.
