WM Garden Cottage

May was great at responding to any and all questions. Even left us with several groceries and a gorgeous lemon drizzle cake for our stay! Accommodation was excellent too and our 6 family had an excellent time.

Knew before we arrived it was a little out of town and that is why location lost a point. Buses were easy and frequent though so all good.

Lovely clean property with all the mod-cons. Walking distance from Arthur’s seat & just a short bus ride to the city centre .

Easy to find, beautifully finished throughout, spacious in all areas, personalised card from the owner on arrival, basic fresh breakfast foods provided on arrival, lots of information available about the property and what is on in the area

Great stay...beautiful home. Comfy beds and very spacious for 6 adults. The location was great...bus stop was nearby to go into city center. Host was very thoughtful to leave some freshly baked goods. Movie room was an added bonus.

Only thing is that the wifi didn't reach two of the bedrooms that well.

May made us feel most welcome, the house was ideally located, easy access to town, quiet neighbourhood for a comfortable nights sleep. The cinema room for the kids was great

I would recommend a second set of cutlery just to save putting on the dishwasher too much

Very cosy apartment with beautifully decorated rooms and super comfy beds. The cinema room was fantastic—we hooked up our Nintendo Switch for a fun games night. The host was accommodating, coming out to help us with access. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend away in Edinburgh!

Not a bad thing to say.

Spacious and beautiful. Well appointed. Had everything you need. Hosts were helpful and left breakfast items too. Perfect for walking to the Commonwealth Pool and cheap to get an Uber into the centre. Parking was a real bonus. Kids loved the cinema room and the popcorn was a nice touch.

This property was a great find just a short distance from all the main attractions of gorgeous Edinburgh. May the owner ensured our stay was a magical one. She had decorated it for Christmas and left the most generous array of goodies, including a freshly baked cake and a greeting card. The cottage is kitted out to a very high standard. The bedrooms are huge and beds very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and lovely seating area overlooking the garden. It must be fantastic in the summer. The bathrooms are finished to a high standard. We were a group of 4 staying but 6 could stay very comfortably. The cinema room is amazing. With the most amazing television and sounds system. A great way to round off a busy day in Edinburgh. We used buses and uber to get around very easily. Although it’s a nice walk into the centre for the more able. We highly recommend you book this cottage.

Beautiful old house, decorated beautifully, very stylish, and spacious.

The cottage is stunning with loads of space. Our host, May, was great at communicating instructions and details and provided special extra touches for a warm welcome (homemade baked goods, groceries for breakfast, coffee and tea supplies and even popcorn for a movie night) which were much appreciated. The bedrooms are enormous with high ceilings and tastefully decorated, comfy beds and crisp white linens. Bathrooms were modern with rain shower features, marble and brass fixtures. Plenty of hot water, water pressure and heat. The eat-in kitchen was well equipped and we were able to prepare a family feast with ease and space to move around. We didn’t get to use the outdoor space as it was November but the private garden and terrace would be a definite bonus in the warmer months for even more areas to spread out and enjoy. The cinema room was amazing with a practically movie-size screen and even a gaming accessories. Yes, there are stairs to get to the kitchen and lounges, so anyone with mobility issues has to keep that in mind but it was not an issue for us. The second lounge was another huge space perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The cottage is located just outside the hustle and bustle of old town in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough for easy to access by bus or on foot. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
