FRL’emplacement est sympa, juste au dessus du golf mais il n’y a pas de vue. Les parties communes sont grandes.
L’endroit n’est pas bien entretenu. Les chambres ne sont pas confortable. La musique est trop forte le soir. Et surtout le prix est bien trop excessif pour les prestations.
FRLa gentillesse du personnel, l’emplacement (15min du centre à pied), le côté atypique , le repas, le rapport qualité - prix.
J’aurais aimé mettre une meilleure note, mais je n’ai pas fermé l’œil de la nuit… La musique était à fond jusqu’à minuit, avec des basses bien sonores (même pas de la musique live…), ce qui a complètement bousillé mon endormissement et pourri ma nuit ! Dommage… Et le petit déjeuner n’est pas servi tôt (7h), j’ai du prendre un petit déjeuner à emporter (sandwichs salés et deux bananes).

AUThe King Fern Cottage is a great place to stay - the location is easy walking distance from the centre of town, is positioned over looking the golf course - super quiet and has a wonderful ambience with it's spacious dining room and lush green outlook. The rooms are spacious, the rooms do need refreshing. Special shout out Lal for his exceptional communication - prior to our arrival and during our stay. Lal went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay.
USI had the pleasure to stay at King Fern for two weeks and I don't think my vocabulary includes enough superlatives to adequately convey just how highly I recommend this place. All of the people are the best - and it's very clear from their smiles and cheerful attitudes that they love being here, interacting with the guests and making King Fern a happy and memorable experience. The facility is the perfect blend of a traditional cabin in the jungle mixed with modern convenience and comforts so you feel like you're out in nature, but also the showers are hot, the wifi is strong, beds are comfortable, and the place is all very clean. There are little nooks throughout the courtyard and lounge for relaxing, and just enjoying the peaceful nature - but there's also a welcoming dining room with a nice fireplace and live music where you can socialize with locals as well as foreign travelers. Oh ... and the location is perfect - easy to walk downtown to Victoria Park, or get a tuk tuk to visit all the beautiful tea factories. Food here is delicious and the breakfasts are a great start to perfect days in spectacular Nuwara Eliya. 😋 There's a choice between local breakfast or western - both are delicious and filling and served with fresh fruit and coffee or tea (have the tea!!). As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and relaxed - there are super nice guys working at the accommodation who are friendly but not at all creepy or weird so it was lovely to not have to always be on guard for potential threats. Really ... everyone at King Fern is truly lovely. If you want to party with locals, come here. If you want to be an unsociable hermit and just chill in gorgeous nature, come here. Whatever you want ... just come here and you'll be happy!
