This is my fourth visit to Bodhgaya in the last 30 years. Nilam Guest House is a place of cleanliness, kindness, and security. Set slightly back from the road, the guest house is more peaceful than others in the area. It is within walking distance for the Mahabodhi Temple, restaurants, and chai stalls. Just outside the guest house is a small but very active local Hindu Temple that is a place of devotion and tranquillity. Sumits mother kindly makes lovely chai with biscuits. I booked for one night and stayed for two months. I will also return early next year.

Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at this guest house. The rooms were clean, staff was polite, and the overall environment was peaceful. Great value for money and perfect for a short family trip. Would definitely recommend!

The young manager, Smith, was excellent. He helped me to continue my trip by finding me an ATM machine that worked and so I could access my money when in other I couldn't do this. The room was spotless and Sumit assisted me with ordering food.
