Eco Bañitas Tulum

Located close to everything, doesn’t have a direct access to the beach but has a very good beach club across the street, very very helpful personal, Nicole was giving us recommendations and helping us out❤️. a real jungle feeling! breakfast was small but made with love, different every day. Drinking water is available in the room.

problem of the many hotels- dusty loud road nearby, generators may be a bit loud- easily solved with earplugs. Shower water was salty. Generators are off during some of the the night hours, so your fan in the room is not working- was not a big deal for us, but for some guests in hotter season it could be.

the place itself is amazing and the idea is great. they have a beautiful garden in the middle of the nature and built the property in harmony with the nature

very loud power generator from 8am until midnight, it ruins all the nature feeling. the bed is very short and, because of that, the mosquitoes net around the bed is not efficient, as our feet were exposed. no access to public beach in the whole hotels area of Tulum. the only way to go to the beach is to go to a hotel/bar/restaurant/club on the beach side of the road and pay for the entrance. you cannot even see the beach/ocean in the whole area, there are very high fences everywhere… very difficult to find a place just to have a casual beer, without going to a private party/dressing up and the hotel doesn’t offer a fridge to keep some drinks. breakfast is poor and unhealthy (2 toasts covered in sugar and syrup with some pieces of apple)

The staff was lovely and helpful. The room itself is cute and pretty clean

Access to this loft is via a precarious steep wooden ladder making it pretty dangerous even without carrying any luggage. The shared bathroom and toilet are far. If you wake up inthe middle of the night or early in the morning for a wee, it's quite a pain not mentioning the risk of climbing down the ladder. The generator was loud and set to operate 5-10pm, outside of that time you may also hear the generator from other hotels. There was no electricity early in the morning. The hotel is far from the centre, access to the beach is via a big hotel opposite where you need to buy something to sit on the beach

I was staying at a 120 per night hotel but had to leave early due to issues with hygiene. I was afraid I would have the same issue here. But it was the opposite. I had not issues with hygiene. It was also in the lower end for pricing in Zona Hotelera. It is good value.

The staff is amazing and the hotel too! Great room, clean, close to everything.

I was happy to find a nice bungalow-style place to stay for a super good price compared to all the insta influencer luxury resorts on the ocean side. The beautiful beach is just across the street (and across a resort). If you are not a good sleeper, the earplugs provided by them should help you out. :) We were there in off season so luckily not much thing was going on hence not much noise from others.

The breakfast was minimal - but at least some bites to start your day with. If they’d put just a little extra effort to it, would be a perfect stay. :)

There’s nothing good we can say about this accommodation. We only rated it 1 out of 10 as there is no 0.

Where do we begin? Upon arriving, the first thing we noticed was that we did not get the room that we booked. They gave us a room that was nothing like the one in the pictures. When my friend confronted the staff we were promised a larger room the next day. I think the room is actually a container or at least it looked like that. Entrance is through the bathroom (that the bathroom was unsanitary is the least we could say…shower was broken…water smelled foul, the sink had hollow spaces behind it where the stuff u put on the sink counter falls through under the container/room) The room itself was dark and damp and had a moldy smell. There were no windows (none that you could close) and there was a gap between the walls and the ceiling. The 10 cm gap was only covered in mosquito nets which were broken. The room was full of mosquitos. The bed had a mosquito net with a hole in it. Both the room we got and the one we were promised were facing the street. There was a generator that went on until after midnight and the sound was very loud (we were lied to and told it would stop at about 9pm). There was loud noise from a construction site across the street and also loud music from the parties. We got to sleep from 1am to 4am, when the workers returned to the construction site. I fell sick that night and threw up. We arrived after a 12h flight to get no sleep and a sticky shower (that’s what our skin felt like after using the shiwer water) The next morning we asked for a refund for the rest of the days, as we could not sleep and we felt we were lied to. The staff told us to wait for the manager. They actually asked us what was wrong! We lingered around for an hour and the manager never came. We were refunded 20$ worth of parking fee and we were told to ask Booking.com for our money back. While waiting, a foul smell could be felt in the whole back yard. The staff told us it was from the swamp. It felt more like dejections. We left without the refund (220$).
