"An expensive place overall like everywhere in Tulum"

7.0

The environment is cool. The staff was so friendly. The breakfast is more than enough. With scrambled egg and some mixed fruit salad.

You are not on the beach side. So you need to pass through another property(hotel/restaurant). Because of nature, we had a small scorpion in our room and a lot of mosquitos of course. Be ready for everything.

"Charming place"

7.0

Charming place. Feels like in the jungle. Staff was very friendly.

Rooms were hot with only fan. One bed had some dead bugs in it when opening the sheets. A lot of mosquitos but that was all over Tulum (August).

"I really liked my cute little thatched cottage, with its private outdoor shower!"

7.0

The breakfast was simple but tasty, and the staff was wonderful and friendly. The location is very central to many of the resorts and shops on the coastal stretch of Tulum—a massive plus if you're attending a function at one of them but want to avoid their exorbitant prices. An additional plus was that Co Banitas provides a lot of fresh drinking water in your room, which is really useful when refilling bottles for days out in the sun. WiFi worked well (when there was power).

As an eco-resort, I didn't expect AC (it would be AMAZING, but I get that it's too power intensive); however, the power went out a couple of times during multiple nights/early hours of the morning, and without the fans (which are essential), the room quickly became uncomfortably hot and humid, making it pretty tough to sleep. Additionally, this may be an issue for some, but the "hot" water in the shower wasn't hot (it was lukewarm at best); however, given how hot and humid it was, this was actually okay for me. Lastly, there were a decent amount of mosquitos, and I got bitten a bunch despite the mosquito net, so pack repellant.

"Very cozy charming place"

10.0

The place is very charming and quiet. The host Raffael was amazing, very helpful and thoughtful. He really made sure I felt fed, comfortable and safe. If you are into fancy things, probably that would not be your place. But if you are coming for relaxation, experience and spiritual comfort, that place can offer all of the above.

Nothing, everything was great

"Very good"

8.0

It is a small community accommodation, the people who take care of it are nice.

The street is noisy, it doesn’t have its own access to the beach, the rooms in the back is more silent but doesn’t have a bathroom.

"Stay clear, bedbugs at this place and they refused to offer a refund."

1.0

Nice location if you like that area of Tulum.

Stay clear, we left this place with hundreds of bedbug bites. No refund was offered, and we had to book another hotel at our expense.

"Shockingly disappointed"

1.0

Sadly there is nothing to like, the location is okay but you need to walk 10 mins still to the beach.

Sadly this was the worst stay of our travels in over 60 countries. We went with our two kids (3 and 1). We were placed right by the road which was incredibly noisy and despite the place being empty were not offered to move by the grumpy staff. Night two we had a storm, the rain was falling on my feet and my son's feet in our shared bed... Night 4 this was literally maggots falling in our bed, staff just didn't care and blamed the rain, the lady is leaving soon so just doesn't seem to care. The entire place is dirty and run down, the worst value for money ever. The beach is not great. Why people come to Tulum is beyond me and why people leave this place a decent review is also beyond me. They didn't want to change our bedding after our 1 year old was physically sick and are reluctant to change towels or even clean every day. Quite simply a massive disappointment and just a place I wouldn't recommend to anybody. We stayed in room 2. It doesn't look like the photos. There are tarpaulins on roofs but these are also failing. The back of the hotel is a complete mess. Avoid staying here and if the owner reads this you really need to invest some money into this place.
