Heavens Gate Ella

location , staff service , break sevice, were very nice and reasonable price . this is near downtown in ella. and we can reach by walking to nine arce bridge,, and litte admas peak. hotel owner can speak korean as well. especially staff were very good . i was very happy with them.

we stay there 2 days. first day other tourlist group made big noise over night. I think this if out of hotel staff control . they didn't follow even though staff request them to be silent many times

Location was good, rooms were big , bathrooms were good size, AC worked well. Breakfast was ok, coffee was terrible but tea was fine.

No hot water really, no fridge in the room, people talking loudly every night outside the room, and in the morning at 5am. the top of the windows were open so no noise reduction at all you could hear every word for people upstairs on balconies. The rooftop was under construction so we had to eat breakfast at their cafe on the road, which was ok but didn't open until 8.30 which is late if you want to hike earlier in the morning. They did offer to open earlier but they opened but didn't serve the breakfast until 8,.30 still. The fan in one of the rooms looked like it was going to fall off when it was turned on so not great. There wasn't staff around at most points of the day and there was a lot of things lying around, disappointing. We booked based on having breakfast on a rooftop with a view, and thought it would be quiet, but it was the opposite.

Great location and staff were so lovely and incredibly helpful. The room, while not outstanding, was clean and I was happy staying there

The host was very helpful and understanding of things and I am very grateful for his help. The room was comfortable enough especially if you're on a budget.

Unfortunately, I was there when they were doing construction and hammering often, so it wasn't quiet. They kept turning the water off. I had to ask for a towel and there was no toilet paper. So, it wasn't a great experience all round. Also, they have mesh above the windows and doors, so you can't close the door to what's going on outside. So, there were dogs barking, kids screaming, people talking. It was rough. I think they should change the name to Heavens Back Door Ella to be honest. But the staff tried their best. I also happened to get sick while I was there, so I had to leave in order to rest properly. WiFi didn't work for me.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We suspect it may have changed owners recently as the place we found was NOT what was described or shown on the listing. Until after 12am there were people literally stood outside our (very thin) door shouting at one another. There was blaring music (from an adjacent gym) and building work from before 7am. We moved after the first night, I did not feel safe and couldn't have stayed there for the 6nts we had booked. We were not the only guests to be shocked at the state of the place and want to leave. It was a nightmare, Ella was essentially fully booked for December and we had a very stressful time trying to find alternative accommodation. We have made booking.com aware of the issue and assume that the listing will be removed before anyone else books it. The issued we had included - No breakfast! No english speaking staff or 24hr front desk - no one to help us with all the problems we had No terrace - Terrace is a building site - see photo No garden No lounge or Reception area - they are a dumping ground - see photo No mosquito nets

The location of the accommodation is perfekt. It is close to everything. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was great!

The rooms where not as nice as the pictures and the water flow was very limited. The water stopt running during the shower. During the night it was hard to sleep because of the loud noice outside close to all night.

About 5/6 min walk from the Main Street, toiletries given which was a big help, tea, bottled water and coffee etc on arrival which we were’t expecting! I thought it was really good value and we booked an extra night. Shower was nice and hot

Only comments to improve would be a deeper clean of bathroom

- great location to the Main Street and attractions - service was awesome - helped us get our clothes washed, exchange money to make it smaller, have us water - breakfast is great! Would recommend and would stay again for sure
