FRThe place was exactly like written in the add. It has everything you need, and the location is just sublime. The beds were comfortable. Robby and his family are the most friendly and nice people we have ever met. We loved every minute of our stay in Tiu Batu. If you’re looking for a hotel with all facilities this is not it, if you’re looking for the experience of your life, getting to know wonderful people and taste amazing local food, then this is so much it!
We loved everything about the place. It is exactly the kind of homestay we were looking for.
DEVery pretty, we had our own treehouse in the middle of two lakes. There were really cute cats and the food was delicious and very affordable.

ESWas one of the nices stay, really authentic we had the house for us , Robby was the kindest host ever, food was so good and cheap and all organic! Coffee also was soooo delicious ! Thank you Robby!
CRBasic room (nothing fancy but very functional) with air-conditioning, WiFi, terrace and rooftop in the middle of the rice field. Near the river and the waterfall.
The food was ok. And having hot water would have been great.
GBWe received an incredible welcome from Robbie and his team. The location is fabulous. We particularly enjoyed the local organic food which mainly comes from Tiu Batu. Robbie also organised for a guide to take us up to the Agal waterfall. We were not sure if we really needed a guide but our guide Rasul was brilliant and showed us food from the jungle. We would not have known where to cross the river without his help. The waterfall is so spectacular and worthwhile if you can manage a 90 minute hike. Please understand accommodation is basic but it is clean and comfortable. This wonderful gem of a place is so much more than a room. I would not hesitate to return and I would highly recommend a diversion to visit.

DEThe host is so welcoming and helped us a lot to get to the homestay and when we left on the bus to Saleh Bay. We also had great food at his place. The homestay is situated on the riverside close to a small village. The atmosphere is very relaxing and you are surrounded by nature and a rural setting. The room we stayed in was really pretty - a comfortable tree house. And in case you need a warm shower, you only have to switch on the water heater on the shower pipe.
GBThis is a QUIET and lovely traditional local built teak houses in a small village a 20 minute or so drive off the coast road. The host is a lovely guy who is very informative. Very nice meals. Overall you cannot fault the place. It is located next to a river with a kind of bridge ford across the river. Note if you go over the bridge you’ve gone to far. You won’t regret staying here.
AUWe have loved everything about our stay at Tiu Batu Homestay. Our room is very comfortable and private, with everything we would need for a happy stay. We have our own outdoor space to chill and share meals. The property is beautiful; with a big river running through it. You can swim in this river, and the water is clear and refreshing. Breakfast was really great, and we actually ate all our meals here at Tiu Batu. The beautiful host Robbie and his wife prepare meals using the organic produce that they grow on their property. For each meal we are different traditional dishes, that were nourishing, interesting and flavourful. It is pretty special to be eating fish caught that day from the pond your room overlooks. Our host, Robbie, took the time to show us around the property, he showed us the way to the local waterfall and he took us to the local market. He has made sure we are comfortable, and offered great recommendations for things to do in the area. We loved the Alas area, the energy in town is really great, there are many food stalls in the evening, and the local market is also very good. The waterfall which is a 5 min drive and then a two hour hike from the homestay is one of the most beautiful that we have seen. We have stayed three nights, and are already organising to come back to stay for a few more nights later in our trip. I really cannot recommend this homestay more highly.
