Tia Batu Homestay offers an extraordinary experience, largely thanks to the incredible host, Robbie. From the moment I arrived, Robbie's warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home. He’s not only a kind and caring person but also an excellent guide, offering invaluable suggestions on what to see and do in the area. The homestay itself is a paradise, surrounded by lush nature and well-tended fields. Robbie's love and passion for this place are evident in every detail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there are plenty of open areas to relax and soak in the serene atmosphere. The traditional food was another highlight—every meal was superb and full of local flavors. Plus, the homestay is conveniently located near Agal Waterfall, a must-visit spot that’s easily accessible. In summary, my stay at Tia Batu Homestay was magnificent. Robbie’s hospitality, the beautiful surroundings, and the delicious food made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

The room was rustic and quirky, with a comfortable bed, hot water shower and aircon. Tranquil, lush surroundings not far from a village. Our host Robbie was very attentive, and speaks good English. We ate dinner at the homestay, and it was delicious, a simple and traditional chicken dish, with incredible flavors. One of our most enjoyable meals in Indonesia. This is a great place to break the journey from Sumbawa Besar to the surf beaches further south, or as a place for those seeking peace and tranquility. There is a waterfall approx 1.5 hours walk from the guesthouse, but we were short of time so didn't manage to visit it. Exceptional value for money.

If you like to spent your time close to the nature this place is perfect for you. Robi is a really nice person. We had a long chat with him. He talked about local culture and food with a real passion. The food is spectacular. They use local organic ingredients. Coffe is great and is also from local organic plantation. We have bought a lot of coffe and honey from him. I recommend to go trekking to waterfall which is located nearby. We there is enaugh water they organize rafting on tires. Ps. they have a lovely cat! :)

This place is far away from the hustle and bustle and is located in the local countryside. If you are looking for something glamorous, this is not the place for you. This place is for people who want to immerse themselves in the original local culture and bring respect and interest with them. Robbie will help you with his extensive knowledge, showing you his families coffee production if you like and spoil you with local organic food, with ingredients either from his own garden or from the surrounding area. For us it was paradise.
