Mango Beach House

Truly local experience. Wonderful location, right on the Jambiani beach and next to the village. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely people, excellent service and great food.

On the positive side, the wifi in the bar area was good, and the restaurant prices were reasonable, with good food. The location of the property was also convenient for my needs.

My stay at The Mango Beach House was unfortunately not a positive experience. While the staff were friendly and helpful with the limited resources they had, the property is poorly managed and not well maintained, as evidenced by the discrepancies between the online photos and the actual state of the place. One major issue I encountered during my stay was the lack of water supply in my room for a whole week, which the management team took too long to fix. The only solution they offered was to move me to a worse room or use a bucket. This was unacceptable, and I had to escalate the issue to Booking.com to get it resolved. Another issue I had was with the payment process. The property unnecessarily asked me to pay in cash upon arrival and did not disclose the 5% surcharge for credit card payments. To make matters worse, a day before my check-out, they took an unauthorized $500 from my card that I left as a guarantee on Booking.com, leaving me without money in my account to continue my trip. The refund process was inefficient and frustrating. still working on getting that resolved. HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO ISSUE A REFUND? Overall, I would caution potential guests to consider these issues before booking at The Mango Beach House. While the staff were friendly, the property's lack of investment and maintenance, as well as the inefficiency of the management team, made what could have been a nice stay a bad one. I would recommend looking at neighboring properties that offer similar prices but better service.

Amazing location just in front of the beach. Perfect place to relax and enjoy just to be there. A pity just have been one night.

The bathroom smells a little bad, but you can not ask for more: you have the beach at 4 meters of it.

Family room with terrace was excellent. Size wise it was more than we expected. The manager was always helpful. Everyone was super friendly. Food was very good. Thank you Ame for having us.

The only thing we'd complain about was lack of bathroom doors, there was only a curtain. But we managed to live with it ;)

Location is great!

No electricity, no water, dirty and uncomfortable. The staff was not helpful at all. Moved out after 2 nights (payed for 6) and did not get a refund. Do not recommend!

Super location right on the beach. Lots of places you can relax and watch the sea go in and out. Staff very friendly and lovely atmosphere. For breakfast you can either choose eggs, a pancake or oats- comes with a delicious smoothie and fruit. Bed comfortable with mosquito net and we had the room with the view onto the ocean- amazing!
