Mount Nevis Hotel

The view from the balcony of my room was breathtaking. The staff was very helpful in arranging island tours and other activities I was interested in.

Without a car the location was a little isolating. While the taxi drivers were wonderful we were reliant on them to get anywhere even if it was to pick up supplies or run errands. If I were to stay there again, I would definitely arrange for a rental car to have a little more freedom to explore other parts of the island.

I have stayed here before, and I have provided this hotel with a very favorable review before, that should provide some insight into how I feel about this hotel. To my previous review I will add this: Even when this hotel is fully booked to capacity it seems quiet. Everything about the hotel experience is first rate: Wonderful check in procedure, Daily maid service, Ironed sheets and pillow cases, Great showers and water pressure, Good air conditioning, Quiet ocean facing patio for reading and relaxing, A small air conditioned gym for lifting weights or doing yoga, A large clean pool, drinks by the pool all day and a good restaurant. It is very quiet and relaxing because the location is a bit remote. If you are looking for an active vacation on the island of Nevis which might include seeing the local sites and hiking and going to various beaches it would be necessary to have a car.

This is not a negative comment it is just a reality of staying at this hotel. The hotel is located at a bit of elevation so you have a beautiful view looking out across the channel to St Kitts. But each of the entry roads is at least 1/2 a mile long so the remote location of the hotel does not lend itself to walking to various attractions. Car rental seems to be easy on Nevis and a car is necessary if you want to travel to many beaches or restaurants or music or other facilities. That doesn't detract from the hotel experience but it's a reality of fully enjoying your vacation in Nevis.
