Falls Cottage

We were met at the door of the cottage by the owners with keys and inductions and found fresh bread and homemade jam! There was a wood stove that added comfort and ambiance. A lovely backyard full of birds and a beautiful covered seating area outback.

Everything was perfect. The location was extremely picturesque, the bedrooms were large and beds comfortable. The log burner was such a treat! It was cosy comfortable stay.

We had an exceptional stay at Falls Cottage for 3 nights, the owners were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. We particularly liked the freshly baked bread and homemade jam that was there when we arrived. It was delicious and was great for breakfasts. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and has good facilities. The location is beautiful and idyllic with a lovely garden/ bird feeders by the window to watch the birds in the morning. Walking distance to the packhorse bridge and the Glenlivet distillery. Ballindalloch castle is also worth a visit. We loved the log burner in the living room which the owner lit for us so it was on when we arrived. Was tastefully decorated and done out. Wish we could have stayed longer! A very relaxing stay thankyou.

The kitchen was well equipped the only thing that would have been helpful to have was a bottle of cooking oil but we managed using the butter that was provided.

Very comfortable and well equipped with many extras for enjoyment of guests such as filled bird feeder which attracted forest birds in easy view of dining table. Wood supplied for use. Homemade bread and jam as a welcome gift. All on one level with parking directly outside so would be suitable for less able visitors. Hosts, including sister Swaney providing holiday relief for Koos and Carolyn, very pleasant indeed.

What a nice place ! We had the whole house for ourselves. Great setup and space for several people. Super friendly reception by the host, and we had fresh bread and jam on the table. If you are in the area, we highly recommend it. You can easily reach lots of nice places with the car and even do some nice walks in the area.

We were welcomed with such hospitality and care to our every need that we hated to leave! Every tiny detail was given to our stay.
