Goa Walet Cottage

Goa Walet Cottage is a hidden gem, offering spotless, well-appointed rooms beside a sparkling pool, all overlooking a breathtaking river valley. What makes this place even more special is that Ozi, the wonderful host, has hand-built the rooms and pool himself—a true labor of love that adds to the resort’s charm and character. The air conditioning works perfectly, and the showers provide reliable hot water, ensuring a comfortable stay. The resort is ideally located just a short motorcycle ride from the nearby waterfalls. Ozi personally took us there in the morning, allowing us to enjoy the serene beauty before the crowds arrived. His wife’s home-cooked traditional Indonesian meals were a highlight, adding warmth and authenticity to our stay. Evenings at Goa Walet Cottage are exceptionally peaceful, with no passing traffic and no disturbance from calls to prayer, making it the perfect place to unwind. When I needed to find an ATM, Ozi even accompanied me to the nearest village—just one example of his kindness and outstanding hospitality. If you're looking for a quiet retreat with a personal touch, Goa Walet Cottage is an unforgettable choice!

Ozzy was an excellent and friendly host who made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He took us on a hike along the waterfalls, went tubing (which is great fun) and he had a motorcycle for hire. Also make sure to check out the private waterfall! The cottage was cozy with a comfy bed, good ac and hot shower. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was also very good.

An exceptional stay in a beautiful 2 room (soon to be 3 room) cottage. The tranquility was priceless and Ozi and his family couldn't do enough for us. This is one of the only accommodations we've stayed in where the tour (car plus driver) and meal prices are so reasonable that we chose that option.

Our family stayed in 2 rooms at Goa Walet and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Although many things stood out (the beautiful jungle surroundings, nearby waterfall (I was the only one there), the food), what really makes this place special is the hospitality shown by Ozi and his family. We travelled with a 4 month old baby and Ozi and family prepared thermos flasks of boiling water so we could prepare formula feeds throughout the day and night. Our baby even got to meet Ozi's granddaughter, who is the same age. Magical.

Had a very tasty Nasi Goreng for Breakfast. Dinner at IDR50,000 was excellent. The location is brilliant with great view over the gorge and the sound of the running river below. The owner is busy with improvements.

Had a lovely stay in the cottage in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are basic but super clean for a reasonable price. It's a family run business and they are super nice. Food was also very delicious and portions big. There is also hot water available for the shower. AC works as well! But I didn't need it actually, it was cool enough to sleep without for me. Host Ozy offers a great hike through the jungle to the waterfalls. Definitely worth going with him (i would have get lost on my own)

Nothing. If you don't like solitude or if you want a big choice of restaurants around, then it's not the place for you. I chose this place because of the closeness to waterfalls and being away from many tourists.
