Goa Walet Cottage

If you are staying in Lombok then you have to come and stay at Goa Walet Cottage! We only stayed for 3 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Me and my girlfriend had the best time ever with Ozy and will be leaving as good friends! Ozy made sure that every moment of our stay was perfect! Ozys wife Rosmita does the most incredible food and we had something different for every meal with big breakfasts to set you up for the day. Ozy took us out on a beautiful trek to see the waterfalls and wildlife which we loved and went tubing the next day down the rapids. The rooms are big clean an comfortable with air con and good WiFi. There is a balcony viewing area with seating and a pool. Ozy also has his own private waterfall which is incredible. Even if the rooms weren't there I would come back to see Ozy and his wonderful family! Thank you.

Nothing it was perfect!

We loved our stay at Ozi's place. His wife made delicious food, he took us on a stunning hike straight from his home, parts of which other other tourists cannot access. There is a private waterfall on the property and the gardens are beautiful. Excellent value for money.

The cottage is in a quiet place surrounded by a beautiful garden, just 8 minutes by car or scooter fro. the Benang Walet Waterfall. Ozy was very kind and helpful. You will like him right away.

Ozy and his family were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We told them we were vegan and they made us amazing food, genuinely better than a lot of the food we've had at fully vegan restaurants. The portions were also large, meaning we were never hungry, whilst the price was very affordable. Ozy took us on a waterfall hike, which was a great experience, especially with Ozy's local insight. We had a great stay and would highly recommend. Given the location is isolated, without renting a bike you are reliant on Ozy and his family for food, water and activities. However we didn't find this to be an issue given how accomodating Ozy's family is.

The air con unit in the room doesn't have a vent for getting the hot air out of the room, meaning it isn't particularly effective. However the room cooled down enough in the evening that this wasn't really a problem.

Ozy and his family are amazing. They are so hospitable and will guide you through your stay. Organizing trips, hiking secret trails or seeing non-touristy waterfalls, everything is accounted for. Also the best Indonesian food while staying in this country!

This was best accommodation we've ever had! Ozi and his family were super friendly, kind and helpful! His wife was cooking every day for very good price and the food was the best we had in Indonesia. Location is good and quiet, close to beautiful nature and waterfalls, where Ozi took us for a day trip! Apartments were clean and cozy. Definitely recommend! <3

We are from Australia, We loved everything about the property. Safe to say we aren’t fussy travellers either but this experience surprised and exceeded all our expectations, it was so lovely to stay there. The property was in the most beautiful location very remote, quiet, private hidden away in the jungle on the side of a hill near private waterfalls. The hosting family are fantastic at what they do, the cooking was yummy, we ate 3 meals with them, tour guide to the local waterfalls was fantastic!, engaging conversation but mindful and very kind and helpful with planning extra drivers and tours. The family and friends on this property are very kind and supportive I can’t fault any of their advice or instructions. We will definitely stay again. :) It was such a lovely experience, very grateful to have stayed here. bring cash !! For your payment for your stay for waterfalls tour off the property, for food for transport. Also give them a big tip too it’s a great stay !!

I wouldn’t recommend the waterfall tours if you can’t walk up and down hills or have bad knees. I was in a moon boot to support my foot at the time with a broken toe. The property is on the side of the hill, The drive way is very steep and there are stairs to the cabins which are manageable. But waterfalls tours where more of a challenge sliding down hills and climbing big stairs, worth it! I still hobbled to them haha but it was a challenge. The host family was super awesome and helped me along the way bless them they where really supportive. I could imagine some one with less mobility struggling.

Ozi was super nice and helpful. Accomodation was perfect, nice surrounding and that secret waterfall, amazing. Everything was perfect, including food. We had breakfast included in price, but you can also have lunch or dinner for very good price. Totally recommend.

What a beautiful find this place is. An oasis of tranquility hidden away in the forest with a lovely pool. Our room was really clean with an extra big comfy bed & soft pillows. The owner Ozi made us feel like family & the home cooked food was great. Particularly liked the egg curry. Some fabulous walks & waterfalls close by. If you're looking to see the real Lombok & experience nature this is the place. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
