Goa Walet Cottage

This accommodation was the best we had in Lombok. We spent 5 days and we had a great time. Ozi was awesome, very friendly, funny and helpful. He showed us amazing waterfalls near the Cottage. Also took us on a hike to see some more waterfalls through the jungle. And arranged a pickup for us and dropped us at our next destination. We rented a scooter from him for a great price. He recommended places to visit. And he arranged river tubing for us, which was also very fun. We had a great time! The food was very tasty, his wife cooked amazing meals, we liked everything. I recommend staying at least a few nights with Ozi! P.s. he's a great chess player! 😁 We didn't want to leave, wish we could stay longer ❤️ Thank you for everything! !

You can hike in the jungle with the owner to see amazing views and waterfalls - an incredible experience. Clean room and delicious food for a very good price.

The cottages are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel at home right away. One of the highlights of our stay was the hike to four waterfalls that we did with a nephew of the owner. It was a wonderful experience for the whole family. The serene surroundings, filled with greenery, offer a beautiful view and an ideal place to unwind. I would definitely recommend Goa Walet Cottage to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. I will definitely be returning!

Excellent location - close to the jungle and waterfalls Very nice and helpful host - he picked us up from the airport, helped with the transfer to the port, took us by scooter near the waterfalls, took care of our child during the hike Excellent food prepared by the host's wife - we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. Large portions and excellent flavors - curry chicken, fried rice with egg, fried fish. Plus coffee, tea and water. Delicious banana pancakes for the child Very nice surroundings - a garden around the house, a small but pleasant swimming pool, rice fields, banana forests and surrounding towns full of stalls and various products I recommend for 3-4 days to see the waterfalls and go to the beach or see the volcanic crater. We stayed for 2 days, but we didn't see everything. The host will definitely help organize everything

This is the real Indonesia and you should not expect luxuries like a TV, focusing on the beautiful and authentic surroundings. However, a few things can be improved to make guests more satisfied - cabinets/shelves by the bed are necessary. As are bedside lamps. You can make them yourself, from bamboo or buy them from a local community. You should also improve the water pressure and make a curtain and a shelf in the bathroom All this definitely needs money, so come

Everything was perfect, from accommodation to hiking trips to food. Ozzy was an awesome and funny companion. Very recommended!

The host Ozi is so charismatic, light-hearted and humorous that you can't help but fall in love with Goa Walet and have a great experience here. From private waterfall tours to evenings spent playing chess with Ozi (and eating the delicious home cooked food prepared by his wife), this is a place we wont forget. We stayed four nights and left feeling genuine sad to say goodbye. The room is simple and well built with a nice view of the pool and jungle behind. The accomodation is only 45 mins from Tetebatu and an hour or so from the beaches, all day-trippable if you rent a scooter from Ozi! We had a very real and authentic local Lombok experience here which we wouldn't find in other more touristy areas.

Goa Walet is a work in progress for Ozi and we feel that the room could have done with some finishing touches (like a place to put clothes and more lights) which would have added some extra comfort. Though we feel sure Ozi will add these as he goes along.

A highlight of our stay! Even though Goa Walet is away from the main towns in Lombok it is well worth the detour. The surrounding greenery is stunning and we were able to enjoy it fully on the hike guided by Ozi. Ozi and his family made us feel so welcome and provided delicious homemade food. Thank you so much for having us and we wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Best accomodation I had in Indonesia.perfect location. nice cottage in a beautiful garden with fantastic view over the valley and waterfall in a 5minutes walking distance.Thanx again Ozzi,I will come back

The best place we stayed in in our 3 month trip in South East Asia! It's a small and quiet place surrounded by the forest. It has a nice pool and chairs outside each room - perfect for a few days of relaxing. The food was so delicious and dietary requirements (we are vegan) were absolutely no problem. The portions were huge and it was super affordable, too. Our host was super friendly and took us to the private waterfall just 5 minutes away from the accommodation on one day and on a 3 hour walk through the forest to see 4 waterfalls on the next day. He also offers transportation to wherever in Lombok you want to go next. The room was nice and comfortable, Wifi worked and was not too slow. When we were there, we only had cold water, but I think he is planning on changing that in the future.

The kindness of the host is what stands out. I advise you to go on the waterfall hike with him. He has his own path through the jungle to the beautiful Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfalls. Definitely better than trying to find them on your own and for a very reasonable price. The food offered by the host is made by his wife and is absolutely delicious if you like the local cuisine. The portions are very royal. This accomodation has its own waterfall in the backyard... What more do you need? P.s. the host drove all the way to Kuta in the south of Lombok to bring me my earplugs that I forgot, even though I only stayed for 1 night. Just goes to show the lengths he goes to for his guests.

Nothing really. The only point of improvement is maybe that there's only cold water at the moment of writing. A nice hot shower would do wonders. But for the price you pay, it's absolutely negligible!
