Maja House Penida

This place was one of the best places I have stayed on since being in Bali so far. The people that run at a really kind wonderful people and treat you as if you are part of the family. They can't do enough for you and want to make you very happy and comfortable. They even drive me up to the pharmacy and to the laundry, or wherever I want to go, and they won't take money for it, even when I offered. They also have an exceptional restaurant which is right on the water and beach. I went there for snacks and drinks and it is amazing to watch the sunset from there. I would come and stay here again and again as I love it so much and I love them as well.

+ clean, comfortable bed, large room + very nice staff. Allowed me to move to a different room after tge first night. See below my issue in the first night. + in spite of the problem in the first night a good stay overall and recommend

Please take this feedback constructive so you can take your place from good to great!!! - I had a really bad first night. No soundproofing. Zero! The listing says soundproofing in two places. It's not at all. - The lack of soundproofing and noisy AC next room was terrible. Could not sleep and rest well. Woke up many tomes, and could sleep anymore after 4pm. They were very accommodating and gave me a better room for the remaining 2 nights. - Although the room is large, it is lackig any practical aspects: no closet or hangers to hang clothes; no night stand lamp, so must use ceeling light which is bothering if laying in bed; no power to one night stand, so cannot charge phone; no table or somrhong else to put bags on, so had to put them on the floor; Address these small issue and the place bwcomes awesome!!! - the bathroom smells very, very bad from the drain. Like horrible. Probable bad desing.

Lovely homestay! Beautiful gardens and buildings. Fast and kind communication. Location great just by temple, dive shops, and restaurants/coffee shops. Lovely room nice and tidy. Great place for Nusa Penida

Nothing to do with Maja House but the water wuality on the island is generally poor so I recommend bottled water as even boiling the tap water it has a salty taste. Lighting in the room is ceiling light so no reading lamps which is ok but it would be noce with a reading lamp

Great bungalows within walking distance or the dive centers and restaurants. Very simple but comfortable, with AC, and a great host, Ronny, who provided me with great tips on where to eat and what to visit. They can organise clothe cleaning and taxi, which are very affordable.

I loved everything about Maja house. The location is super close to Freedive nusa, like 10minutes by walk. There are plenty of very good and cheap Warungs like 2minutes from the place. There is even 1 smaller market nearby. All the western food places and bigger market is near freedive nusa, so also very very close. The location is important, rooms were clean as well but the best and most enjoyable were the conversations with local people! I loved all the evenings I spent with Ronnie and Yuda talking about our cultures and exchanging thoughts on various topics. They recommended a lot of places to me and were very kind and friendly. It was really a big pleasure to meet these guys. Probably the thing I enjoyed the most on the island! I highly recommend Maja Homestay!!!

Very welcoming staff. The rooms are very clean and you have eveything you need. Beds are comfy. The location is also central.
