Alices Garden Two

Peaceful, private location close to the city centre which allowed us to explore York City in the day & relax in the private garden & hot tub in the evenings. We've had the perfect relaxing break as part of my 50th birthday celebrations. We hope to return.

Secluded, tucked away with hot tub and sauna. Cosy Shepards hut to cook and sleep in. Host was very friendly and provided everything we needed - towels, dressing gowns, couple of drinks in fridge, all the wood needed for the wood fire hot tub. Whole garden was beautifully lit up with fairy lights at night. Beautiful. Even the farm cat was super friendly. Hot tub was heated before we arrived. Fantastic stay here. Close enough to York (10 mins in taxi £8). Will absolutely be staying again for our next trip to York.

Everything was perfect but if I had to say something - the long drive way from the road to the location was incredibly bumpy/pot holes. Some of our Uber drivers were not happy to drive down.

The stay was really pleasant,nice and warm , Jakuzzi was a plus.Amenintes for cooking ,and Chance to order Uber no issues , really enjoyed the stay

It was a lovely quirky place to stay. Cosy and comfortable. Only 5 minutes into York centre.

Perfect for a weekend visiting my daughter at the university, great location for Heslington campus. Shepherds hut was perfect with a slightly bigger shower than some, and good supply of hot water. Private garden area with hot tub was lovely. Pubs in Heslington within reasonable walking distance, and lovely small cafe for breakfast in Fulford, walking the other way. Frequent and new buses to city from end of farm Lane, but also more choice from Heslington.

The weather...but hey that’s why hot tub so good.

A place of paradise, 5 minute drive from clifford tower aroung £5-9 in taxi. With fantastic craftmanship and attention to detail, the design of the garden and layout provides and ideal wellbeing getaway. The hot tub is spacious and excellently presented. Also the sauna was a welcomed treat well layed out and designed. The hut is cosy and comfy with everything you need including complimentary drinks on arrival. Theres heating and the comfiest bed for colder nights. Mark and his family are welcoming and made feel like a home from home for the weekend.
