Hilltop on Milton

It was spacious for 4 people. Quite a quirky property. We were only there for a short time so didn’t do any cooking, but it was very well equipped for those who like to do their own catering.

Car parking was difficult. Some furniture was uncomfortable.

Very generous provision; fresh bread, milk, tea&coffee, cereal.

Single bathroom makes it less suitable for bigger party.

Not too expensive , classic example of “you get what you pay for” Located close to city centre Owner allowed early check in which was appreciated .

This place is very old and cluttered and quite depressing . Beds and pillows uncomfortable and all linen past their use by date . Parking for one car however access is tricky as 1mtr drop off making parking quite difficult .

Lovely host with a fantastic array of organic milk, bread and eggs together with fresh fruit and tea and coffee. Lots of room to spread out together with a sun drenched deck.

Parking was quite tight but you can leave cars out on the road.

The comfort, the amenities, and the host made it a great holiday accommodation.

Wonderful older home. Great for a family. All amenities were included and some lovely touches like eggs, milk and bread provided.

Really nice house with quaint features and decor. We loved the fact that there were board games and appreciated having some essentials stocked. Close to all attractions.

I would have loved a fan in the room, although it rained it was quite warm.

Being welcomed in person added a truly personal and thoughtful touch to our stay. The generous provision of eggs, milk, butter, bread, oranges, pears, a lovely selection of teas and infusions, chocolates, lollies, and even pies went well beyond the usual hospitality standards we’ve experienced when booking accommodation in New Zealand. The house itself is rich in history and heritage, which made our stay even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, memorable, and well-hosted stay.

Due to my spinal surgery, the bed was not as comfortable for me personally. That said, the room itself was very spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean, which we greatly appreciated.

The location was good. The owner was welcoming and provided some breakfast including eggs, milk, bread and chocolate.

The washer/ dryer machine was not able to dry the clothes well.
