The Elms Thekkady

The room was well maintained and had all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. However, the experience at the reception was disappointing, as the lady at the front desk seemed unaware of basic information a guest would reasonably expect, such as food options, nearby places to visit, and booking-related details. At the time of checkout, there was no effort from her side to be courteous, exchange pleasantries, or even check whether the room met the checkout requirements. Assistance with bringing down the luggage was also not offered, which made the interaction feel rather cold and impersonal, overshadowing an otherwise decent room experience.

Great location.

No access to a refrigerator, no breakfast and we had to plug the water kettle into a socket on the floor.

Large comfortable rooms with excellent shower, a fridge and a kettle. Friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful location and only 10 min walk to the Periyar park entrance.

Nothing. You do need to close AND lock windows securely as monkeys pulled open our closed window. The staff were really lovely and helpful.

It's really a good homestay with all facilities Close to the market too. We loved the stay It's not really that expensive either as compared to other hotels there. The hotel is quite cozy and comfortable with all its clean

There's no breakfast we had to plan it outside but still a good homestay.

The Location is at a walkable distance from the Market, cultural program centre, boating area. The room was very comfortable, had a kettle, tea and coffee.

When the staff told me to keep the door of the balcony shit as there are monkeys around and they might take your belongings if they by any chance enter into the room was a bit disappointing for me. I had specially booked the room with a balcony view to enjoy the street view.
