Electric meter broken. No electricity all night. No staff all night.

Nothing. Staying at this hotel was an awful experience- avoid this place at all costs.

On arrival we got lost multiple times due to there being no sign or indication of where the property was. Once we found the hotel there were no staff to check in, which resulted in my husband and I waiting for over an hour for the hotel to respond to calls and messages. This was a frequent thing- no staff whatsoever during the time of stay, except for maybe 1hr in the day. We experienced daily power and water outages whilst at the hotel, the hotel were completely none responsive to our messages and phone calls when this happened leaving use to sort the issue out ourselves. Due to the issues we faced we were late for reservations and bookings we had made, which meant we lost money due to hotel negligence and bad facilities. The number provided for Villa santai Bali is either old or the person lied about working there as she stated she hadn’t worked at Villa Santai Bali for over a year when we called. We have requested a refund on this booking and still no response. This hotel completely ruined our stay in Uluwatu and made what should have been a lovely end to a holiday very stressful. My husband and I are really disappointed with the property and urge anyone considering booking this place to avoid. It is not worth the money and is a scam for the price they charge for their stay.

A net over the bed is a must as from the ceiling were falling bugs and pupu from the Gekos.

Biggest issue it the intermittent wifi - my final day the wifi and electric cut out and I couldn't even get a taxi to leave. Waited almost 2 hours until someone arrived to recharge the electricity ? If i was catching a flight this could have been terrible Nothing within walking distance Huge amount of insects in room despite the provided repellent You can hear absolutely everything - front gate opening, people entering their rooms, music/traffic/dogs barking The roofs are thatched very pretty but all night you can hear animals walking / fighting and it sounds like its inside No water pressure in the sink and shower Pool is filthy and tiny. Doesnt look like pics.

Rooms were well decorated and clean. Pool was nice.

Inability to find the host to communicate - what was slightly concerning to us was that the host turned up at the same time we arrived. She did not greet us or acknowledge us and we had to ask if it was the right place. She then argued with the new housekeeper quite a lot, who had very little English, and blamed our room being incorrect and the lack of greeting on her. It was bizarre. We felt pretty bad for the housekeeper. The location is challenging without a scooter - no internet outside the property and Gojek and grab drivers frequently got lost or cancelled rides
