"February visit"

5.0

We liked the bush living. Friendly and attentive staff. Very hot while we were there, very wild feel to it all.

Bee hive in the walls of the room we booked. Was only dealt with on day 3 of our stay. Massive ant infestastion, which wouldnt have been a problem if the fridge was cooling properly ants ended up in almost everything Bush trimming just lying everywhere as opposed to being cleaned up. No airconditioners yet this was advertised. We were given fans but this barely did the job with the crazy green house effect we were feeling. Gates are controlled by solar panels, early morning fishing and game viewing is hindered by having to wait for someone to open the gate on top of that no network so its impossible to call them.

"Enjoyed our stay."

Good location...Not too far from Freeway.

The pool needs to be treated with HTH each evening as there are many guests using it. Alum will clear it as well. It would be nice if there was a pool table or Darts or the bar was up and running again with some music perhaps. But otherwise a lovely place.i would go again.

The accommodation is super nature vibe but the room is very comfy with very big bathroom. There are both bathtub and shower. It is with fan but the very good, not hot. Staff are very very nice.

"It was OK but I would not go back"

1.0

The staff were friendly, the pool water was nice and warm. The bucks and monkeys on the premises were an awesome experience. The beds were super comfortable to sleep on and the bedding was nice and clean.

The gate intercom doesnt work and without cellular reception it was a problem to call the reception numbers. There was NO hot water for the whole of our stay. There is a bar area but it is not operational. NO ice is sold on the property. The rooms are EXTREMELY hot and the small fan provided does not help… aircons are sorely needed. The shower heads are so old and dirty that there are 5 holes that the water come through and the streams each go in separate directions which makes it near impossible to shower. Our toilet was constantly leaking… and instead of fixing the problem the staff kept cutting off water to our unit without communicating to us. Eventually I came up with the suggestion that I would close the water tap to the unit when i am not using water. Staff kept asking for cigarettes… made for a very uncomfortable experience as We had to travel outside of the lodge everytime we needed anything from a shop. Wifi is available… but only if you walk all the way to the reception area and literally sit there. Overall this place needs some looking after and some TLC… a bit of an upgrade maybe? I know bush living shouldnt be all too glamorous but it would be nice if the essentials like a working shower and hot water would be nice…
