On arrival at the property we were expecting flights of stairs as we had been advised beforehand but these are not normal stairs. They are steep and very narrow, concrete dungeon looking stairs that were very dark. That’s the only way I can describe them. They were so poorly lit we had to get our phone torches out and this was when it was still daylight. Part of the corridor leading to the apartment was pitch black with no working lights. We felt very unsafe in the day and couldn’t imagine navigating them at night. The property information states it is suitable for families but it is most certainly not. It would be extremely difficult to get any pushchair up the stairs let alone large cases. When we eventually got to Apartment 4, generally it was basic and shoddy and definitely not as described on the company’s website as ‘stunning’. One of the beds was broken and the worst was when we walked into one of the bedrooms where the window glass was all cracked in each of the bedroom windows and covered with black and yellow tape. We felt like we’d walked into a crime scene! So this coupled with the dark stairs made us feel even more unsafe. Another main issue for us was that there was no suitable fire escape at all especially given the state of the stairs and windows. In light of the above, we could not stay at this property and arranged alternative accommodation for the evening. We told the company that owns the property straight a away and in fairness they were very quick to resolve and investigated the matter and we received a full refund in the circumstances but we really feel pictures of the common parts to the apartments should be shown as well as those of the property given the state of the stairs.

Was clean, and good communication

Just a note that there was damage from previous guests to parts of the apartment which need sorting, the wood slats on the balcony need replacing and lights in communal area are not sufficient had to use phone. Also took time for damage deposit to be returned.

Space and size was great, balcony was wonderful, near all attractions,

Mushrooms growing in grout under shower in the bathroom, lots of existing damage from other guests

Location was perfect exactly where we wanted to be, beds were really comfortable

There was only one key, so between 7 of us caused an issue, it would be better if there were more. The Sofa bed wasn’t the comfiest and thankfully one of our friends couldn’t make it otherwise he wouldn’t have had anywhere to sleep as the sofa is only big enough for one really. The apartment it self is in need of some work but did the job for a group of lads

Location , beside all bars

(1) There is some substance secreting from the floor of the kitchen. We placed a towel over it for the duration of our stay. (2) The bathroom door sticks and the handle is about to fall off. (3) There is poor lighting in the stairwell and hallway leading to the apartment (4) TV didnt work
