Wern farm cottage

It was so clean, we had a really nice stay as family. We had what we needed, the morning walk at the canal was so nice. We were worried as it was a on street parking but it was a safe place. The owner was helpful when we couldn’t find it. Bonus for us was the free wifi, and the fish and chips shop.

Clean, simple, comfortable, had everything we needed. No issues at all with the house.

It was really tricky to find - a name or number on the door would help and directions of the street name. And clarification that the front door is on the canal, not on a road. We had a disabled person as part of the group and was really hard to get close to the front door so meant we couldn’t go in and out as we wanted as was pretty hard. Think it needs to be clearer about the access on the information. Also it’s not in Pontypool…

Great location, clean & tidy

Small bed, could do with a larger size and new mattress.

The view of the canal. Near nice pub n cafe. Lovely walks n wildlife. Cottage beautiful in every way. Lots good tv channels. Nice patio garden.

Nothing

We liked being close to the canal, and the house was clean and comfortable. The fish and chip shop was good, and there seems to be a newish cafe opposite.

There was only just enough cutlery and crockery, and very little in the way of serving dishes, wooden spoons etc. It could be much nicer with a bit more attention to the outside space and a bit more interior decoration to soften it.
