Spacious Haven Near University of Leicester

The property was clean inside and the beds were comfortable it had a lovely kitchen and looks like it had been recently decorated it was to a good standard and looked nice

When we arrived we were sent the wrong key code to get into the property. The number we were given wouldn’t answer and only wanted to communicate via email until eventually they did answer. The neighbourhood was slightly concerning most cars on the street had clamps to stop the cars from being stolen and there was a car in the car park that looked like it needed dropping at the skip. The hallway up to the apartment was smelly and not well kept so it was a nice surprise to step into a decent apartment. We were disappointed that the tv volume was set very low and my elderly parents could not hear it. My mum decided to take a bath as there was a jacuzzi stile bath. But when she switched the jacuzzi on lots of black bits came out the pipes into the bath and she had to jump out. The host also let us know that towels were being dropped around which they did but they were still damp so we had to dry them on the towel rail. We had also booked for 5 people and there wasn’t a duvet there which we had to notify the host about but she did quickly get one delivered which was appreciated. All in all I think the so part meant was good value for money but our experience was a little disappointing with the little things. A few improvements and the apartment would be great. Also better communication at arrival as we were stood waiting 45 mins in the cold. We did think we would need to go find alternative accommodation at one point. The apartment also isn’t clearly marked out on the door instructions or key. Would I stay again? Probably not.
