Delightful Family Holiday Home in Blackpool

Great location on quiet street close to attractions and good local amenities. Host kindly paid for parking nearby after previous guest left with the parking permit.

Host was slow to reply to messages about check in and didn’t reply to two messages sent post check in. The property could benefit from some renovation particularly rickety dining room chairs, bed linen and pillows but over all a great place to stay for a short break.

The space

No heating until night time and morning couldn’t get it on in the day no extra bedding, smell from the bathroom had too pay for parking as no permit left due too workmen taking it was meant too get a refund off the landlord and haven’t plumber was meant too bring heaters and didn’t

Kitchen window didn't shut and was a safe guarding issue. House was dirty and the shower stopped working when we were there. Had no shower for a day and half

Where do we start. Shocking! Ruined our weekend away. Advert stated cookies or biscuits on arival. Nope! No tea! No coffee! Not enough bedding for the amount of people staying, we booked for 5 adults and 2 children and only bedding on 2 double beds and 2 single beds were available, the bedding for the sofa bed was not existent! 1 older family member had to resort to sleeping on the sofa in clothes as the room with the sofa bed was freezing and no bedding was provided. (Had to buy a sleeping bag for second night). We found urine stains on the bed sheets and had to resort to changing some of the bedding. All the bedding had hair in which seemed as if they hadn't even changed the sheets after the last family! One child wouldn't sleep in the one room due to smell and horrible bobbly sheet.( Slept on the other sofa) . Advert states to have hyper allergenic feather pillows. (No chance) . Messaged the hosts to find out if bedding was hidden or could be dropped off but no reply. They did drop off eventually but was too late as we had already purchased a sleeping bag. Down stairs very cold. No wine glasses. No pint glasses. Had to resort to drinking wine from a mug on the first night and purchase some the next day. 3 half pint tumbers for 8 people! 6 plates (couldn't all eat together). Said there would be a hair dryer, nope! Very dated. Dust everywhere. Smelt fousty and not clean. 1 parking permit for for a family of 7 in 2 cars. Shower is rubbish and goes hot and cold and wouldn't hold a decent temp. Electrical items are over 1 year out of date for pats testing. Extractor fan didn't work for cooker and we found cat treats in the rug 🤢 A information book would be helpful too, instructions on where the thermostat is and how to use the boiler etc. I can't think of one positive comment unfortunately.

It smelt really bad downstairs, very damp smell. Wasn’t cleaned to a good standard, showers dirty, bins overflowing. Outdated, dirty bedding. Curtains filthy, holes in the couch (covered with a throw), carpets not fitted properly, nails loose on door bars( could catch bottom of foot) holes in the walls, carpets looked and smelt dirty, hard floors not cleaned properly. A lot of work required, shocked this property is being advertised on booking.com!

very dated and heating was impossible to get working , microwave and cooker needed a good clean .

Disgusting smell of cat pee in living area. carpets need to be removed and replaced. the photos advertising this property look nothing like the property... maybe it looked like this 20 years ago. all beds mattresses and bedding need replaced. all very uncomfortable. needs a full refurbishment on whole house. bins at front of house full and overflowing. front entrance covered in weeds sofa all ripped and not clean.... disgusting urine smell hits you whenever you walk through front door. we bought air freshener and plug ins.
