Rooftop Apartment At Queens Beautiful views

Comfortable and warm with plenty of space. Great location.

Only one toilet between 4 adults and there was a lack of equipment in the kitchen.

It was not expensive and the shower had good power.

Yikes where do I start! Issue started with this booking one week before we were due to arrive. I received multiple emails per day to upload details for a deposit which I had presumed would be taken by the card I used to secure the booking originally, however this is not the case. Before I could answer, I got an email requesting me to send £300 via PayPal to a random name who I could not find any connection to INNTOWN online. I queried this and was told “this was the owner” and it’s normal practice. I said ok fine, I’ll pay tomorrow morning as I was away that evening. I got another two messages the following morning asking me “still nothing from you?” And “please send the money to ….@ another totally random email address” again with a name when I googled had no link to anyone from Belfast. Not happy with this, I contacted booking.com directly and they advised me against sending anything via PayPal and that they would contact the company also. I got an update from booking.com to say the company never answered them. I decided to upload the payment details via the portal (inntown book directly) to protect my funds as this really sounded super dodgy at this point. I informed the company of this and got no answer. At this point I would have completely cancelled the booking as I had no desire to stay in this arrangement, however I was outside of the cancellation period. I emailed the company directly and finally got confirmation that the booking still existed and all was in order. Arrived on the day and the apartment was fine, clean, functional for what we paid, however the pictures on booking.com are absolutely not of the apartment we stayed in whatsoever - different furniture, the view outside the window in the picture is not the same, it’s not even one big window but two normal sized windows instead - I wish I took a pic! It was a first floor flat with zero “beautiful views” and nothing “rooftop” about it.

The beds were comfortable. Mostly clean.

There were no curtains in the living area, which was a huge window overlooking the street. This left us in full view of the street with no privacy There was mould in the bathroom. Instructions for heating were insufficient for people from warm climates (don't use heating of any kind). The lock on the mailbox for the key was broken.

Brilliant hosts who responded to an issue I reported with a door handle immediately and had it fixed -couldn't have asked for more.

Great comms from the owners, lots of info provided. Property was spotless and spacious and in a great location.

Terrible smell out of the main bathroom, unsure if it was due to the drains or the mouldy shower.

Spacious Apartment.

It's located across the road from a half way house style property - lots of comings and goings on the street and people leaning on our hire car, drunk and shouting at all hours. The TV could only be operated through the APPS, and only 2 of these were actually working - none of the usual channels available. Main shower room very smelly. Host not willing to do anything about this. I wouldn't stay there again. You would be better staying in a nicer area such as the Cathedral Quarter.
