La Embajada Hostel Bacalar

It was a great staying Thanks to Lucia and Fernando for there lovely help to find what I needed. Beautiful view right next to the laguna

Cheap and good free breakfast

No airco only loud fans

was very relaxing , quiet comfortable,,great coffee and jelly toast in am,eazy 5 minutes to lagoon

The kitchen could have been a bit cleaner, and unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitos while I was there which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable.

The family feel, super friendly and sociable. The place itself was also lovely and breezy. Delaite went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and content. From booking a taxi, giving me a pep talk when I felt sad, inviting me to a local street party, and generally always being there with an open ear. Could have made h this my home in all honesty! Thank you so so much!

Delaite is an absolutely wonderful host and does everything to make you feel right at home. There’s yoga and sound healing (if that’s your thing) all for free. The hostel is a 5 min walk from the lagoon and everything you need in town.

The hostel is still going through improvements and they are working really hard to get the other bathrooms and showers working. It would be great to fit the rooms with AC as it’s very hot. I was able to keep the fans on me throughout the night but AC would make it much more comfortable.
