GBReally welcoming staff, super comfy bed and lovely spacious bedroom. The pub's location is great, right on the main square so very convenient for local eateries, the castle and river walks. Lovely friendly bar with excellent real ale - best pint of Landlord I've had in ages! And thanks to secondary glazing in our room we weren't disturbed by outside noise. All in all a first class experience thanks!
GBThe location was ideal, right in the centre of this beautiful little town. Our question about parking was answered with a personal call. The staff on arrival was very helpful, giving advise on where to get breakfast. The room was bigger than I was expecting. It was spotlessly clean with all the facilities one would expect. We had no noise from the pub.

Parking is tough in small towns but the owner contacted us personally to advise on a brilliant parking spot Great service that Staff were excellent as well Had a lovely bustling bar area

GBIdeally situated on the market square.. Jon and Fiona were very warm and welcoming. It was dog friendly, noted for future reference. They were honest about the noise in the evening from karaoke and music playing, but after 11.30 it was quiet. The castle tavern is the most popular pub in Richmond so be prepared for that.
Although the beds were very comfortable and bathroom were clean I think a bit of decorating is required. Maybe being able to get the windows open for some fresh air. Definitely go back though.

GBThe staff were friendly and the beer prices were fair, good that you were able to use the side door and not have to go through the public bar to get to your room.
No breakfast, and had to park away from there due to parking restrictions, it was only around 5 minutes walk but had to be paid for daily
