Lake view Romantic retreat

Everything! The views were spectacular, the location was way off the beaten track and very quiet which is what we wanted. There are plenty of good walks nearby or a short drive away. The property was very cosy and comfortable, had everything we needed, including a beautiful log fire to keep it very warm. Maggie the owner was quick to reply to messages and questions. We could not have asked for a more ideal place to stay for our little getaway.

I loved how intimate the cottage is, very cosy and warm. The property is surrounded by hills and overlooking a lake, which is absolutely stunning to see when you wake up in the morning. I loved how there are alot of open spaces and it’s roomy. The upstairs is beautiful, I love the mirrors etc. I am in love with this property, everything is perfect. We are definitely going to be returning back here. We liked the optional teas/coffees and the little chocolates Maggie left for us! We liked the little post it notes scattered around as this was extremely helpful and I liked Maggie’s family pictures that were half put around.

The driveway. This opinion is most likely only a me issue. You are able to park the car on the drive but the wheels can skid a bit, and it’s bit tight. But again, this opinion may be subjective. But wont be stopping me from returning.

Ready for us to walk in and relax. Fire roaring, warm and cosy. We both loved the history with the building and the personal touches felt like home from home. It was my birthday and the host gave me a card and chocolates, very kind thank you x

Beautiful location, quirky little property. Loved the personal touches around the place, such as old photos and the history of the cottage. Everything was thought of. There was information of nearby attractions and a book Maggie wrote about the Starlings. We visited the starlings on Aberystwyth pier and we also went to Devils bridge waterfalls and watched the Red Kites being fed at Bwlch Nant yr Arian-2pm in the winter. We had bad weather on New Year but we felt really cosy in the cottage with the fireplace. Such a lovely trip.

The Apartment was beutiful it was very nostalgic it was clean the host maggie was a great host very welcoming, the view is beutiful A wonderful get away to relax and take in the sceneary.

The weather was quite bad but cannot change the weather.
