Sequoia River Front Cabins

Loved the location! The river was beautiful, and the family suite was larger than we thought. We appreciate the door between the upstairs and downstairs. The on-site host was kind, gave nice recommendations for where to eat. AC was strong and kept us cool through the 100+ weather.

The twin and queen beds were very uncomfortable - we could feel the bed slats through the mattress. It would be nice if the mattresses were thicker and firmer, or maybe had a mattress topper. Also some of the bed sheets were stained. We know they are clean, but some of us were a little turned off.

Excellent location, restaurants close by, park a few miles away.

Unity #9 poorly maintained. Wooden outside structure felt woobly, path to cabin uneven and felt unsafe, air conditioning very noisy, same as fan in bathroom and room. No clear access to river. Upgrades badly needed.Outside deck needs to be maintained and cleaned.

No hot water ever during the three nights we were there.. We would get a spurt of warmth in shower for 30 seconds and otherwise it would be ice cold. Basic assumption when you pay over $200 a night, you can take a warm shower. Unacceptable. Terrible water pressure - genuinely pathetic Dirty: Dishes not washed Literal blood on the wall not cleaned Shower had clearly not been scrubbed in months Towels clearly not laundered No one was in the office any time we approached it for requests. They had a sign hanging on there that "just left, be right back" and it was the same sign for four days. I spoke to one person on checking in and never saw him or anyone again. No path to the river making it far less convenient (which is the only draw of this location) - meaning that it was choked with weeds or stones, making approaching the river very difficult (especially after a day of hiking). Driveway is super steep and unless you have a truck it’s hard to use Broken front window (glass needs to be replaced) Overall dingy bedding “Kitchenette” only included a bad microwave and fridge and nowhere to actually prepare food - do not be fooled by "kitchenette" on listing. Overall for the price being comparable to Comfort Inn down the road or one of the lodges within Kings Canyon National park, this was a terrible place to stay.

We booked it as it is closed to the park entrance, and we were aware of the bad reviews. After seeing the dirty and mess outside, we decided to look for another place. We lost money but the situation was not acceptable. It looks like an abandoned place. It requires significant cleaning and maintenance

We loved the location and that's about it.

The place could be something great... think Hot Tub Time Machine, the movie where they stay at a place once beautiful but when they go back it's run down and disgusting.. Thats this place. Its dirty and run down. If the 24 hr maintaince and cleaning they say they had spent just 30 minutes a day cleaning up debris and trash this place would be spectacular! It could be better and worth every penny, even more. In the end I had to wipes down and clean our own room even though we had to check in late because they were "cleaning" when we arrived.
