The Georgetown Green Gates

If you're happy for self check-in, then this is a great place to stay! Huge airy room. There was so much space and storage! It's not pristine or expensively appointed. Instead it is rustic, with wooden floor boards and big old furniture. It was very clean, has tea and coffee facilities, filtered water, and a comfy bed. WiFi worked great. The air con was quiet and perfectly cooling after a day exploring. The bathroom facilities were clean and tidy and included soap, shampoo, body wash, and spare tooth brushes! The location is absolutely brilliant! On a really quiet street with little passing traffic. Walking distance to loads of great spots in the old town and a huge choice of places to eat - you'll be spoilt for choice! Easy to get a Grab for further away trips.

Absolutely not a problem for us but just so other people know, there isn't a reception, and check-in is all virtual. So if you prefer to see staff this might not be the place for you. It's not pristine and modern like a chain hotel, but if you like your accommodation to be clean and more authentic then this is a great place to stay.

Nice design and the concept is really good. Nice big spaces and a great kitchen area.

The place has a lack of maintenance. All the rooms had dirty air cons that had to be cleaned. Some lighting was not working. Evening you could not turn off the outside corridor lights so the rooms exposed to bright lights. The small rooms palm 1 & 2, the air con sizes are correct but the larger rooms the air cons are too small so reduced cooling. Some switches were tripping and the glass wall and door at bathroom (palm 1) was broken and dangerous. Had to demand for the air cons to be serviced, very dirty filters indeed. One of the bicycles had a flat tyre for the whole duration of stay (3 nights) and the other bicycle had low air in the tyres.

Location was good. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well.

Couch was ordinary. No railing at bottom section of stairs (dangerous for older travellers). Needs a bench or similar to unpack suitcases as just using the floor was unsuitable. TV wasn't programmed therefore we couldn't use it at all. Toilet roll just sitting on Toilet and no holder except nail on wall. Needs a railing on steps to get from lounge area to toilet area. No broom or pan for cleaning in the room. No electrical outlet near the bed. Wrong code was given in email. We had to call 3 times to get correct code for lock box.

Never saw any staff The overhead fan was very dusty located directly over the bed . Would have preferred an entry other than using PIN codes only .

- sehr gute Lage im Zentrum (2-3 Min zu Fuß), trotzdem weit genug weg von den Bars um nachts Ruhe zu haben. - sehr großes und geräumiges Zimmer, auch das Bad war riesig. Alles war sauber - das Haus selbst ist sehr groß, gepflegt und sauber mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum verweilen - Gemeinschaftsküche - Waschmaschine - kostenfreie Fahrräder fürs erkunden der Stadt - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und spontan verlängert, war gar kein Problem!

- das Geschirr in der Küche hätte sauberer sein können - nichts weiter, alles ausgezeichnet

La chambre est située dans une ancienne maison avec patio intérieur. Il y a une jolie cuisine au Rez de chaussée dont on peu profiter La décoration est joli au Rez de chaussée. C’est à deux pas du centre Les contacts avec WhatsApp sont très réactifs et efficaces. La chambre est vaste et il y a même un salon attenant. On peut utiliser la machine à laver. Convertisseurs de prise à disposition. Prises anti moustiques.

Coussins du divan sales Portes coulissantes sales La porte coulissante pour l’accès à la chambre n’est pas installée correctement et de l’extérieur on peut voir la chambre à travers la fente ! Ce n’est pas agréable. De plus cette lourde porte coulissante glisse avec difficulté et la serrure est difficile à enclencher. Un autre porte coulissante séparait ma pièce d’une autre chambre de locataires. La porte était fermée à clef, certes, mais j’aurais aimé un crochet pour bloquer la porte de mon côté et avoir la maîtrise son verrouillage pour me sentir à l’aise. La clim qui s’arrête toute seule au bout de 24 h sans pouvoir être relancée par la télécommande. Un mode d’emploi serait nécessaire pour pouvoir la remettre soi-même en fonctionnement. Attention la coursive est glissante les jours de pluie.

El alojamiento es una antigua shophouse reconvertida en alojamiento, decorada con muy buen gusto. Áreas comunes como una cocina grande que te permite cocinar o guardar comida. También puedes usar la lavadora pagando aparte el detergente. Nuestra habitación " areca" era muy amplia y muy bonita. Cama muy cómoda. Con todo lo necesario e incluso más (artículos de baño, calentador de agua, paraguas, adaptadores de enchufe). Aire acondicionado y ventilador funcionan perfectamente.

El auto check in siempre me ha parecido algo impersonal que además puede ser limitante para personas que no se manejan bien con estos sistemas
