Prana Boutique Hotel Tulum

Exceptional breakfast - Chilaquiles with Mole was amazing and very good portion sizes, once you’re seated, food arrives quickly. Free water refills and reliable WiFi. Very friendly and helpful reception staff who spoke good English - Hector and Dorian were lovely and welcoming. Nice relaxed outdoor areas - shaded pool area and roof top terrace in the sunshine. The hotel could be a real gem if some additions were made to the rooftop as it’s a real sun trap and great for sunset drinks if there was more of a vibe - emulate what is provided down at the main pool but upstairs in the sun! Add some greenery as it feels bare, also some background music would be nice to distract from generators/ air con units and also a water dispenser. The area felt safe and a good distance from the main town for restaurants - recommend ‘Tulum Food Trucks’ for great Tacos, Ceviche and large Jenga to play on tables whilst waiting.

Overall not big issues but areas for improvement. We had a villa with the palm/ thatched roof, whilst this provided a nice aesthetic, it let all the outside noise in. We could hear traffic throughout the night and downstairs room coughing and other sounds….bring ear plugs! Also the lighting in these rooms is quite poor, it was dark enough at night that we had to use our phone torches to see our belongings and into the safe, which we would expect decent quality lighting for the price we paid. Breakfast needs managing better, given that another hotel sends guests to use the restaurant, therefore queues gather quite quickly from 8.30-9am, this can be 20 minutes wait so bear in mind if you have trips planned. Also some people use the back entrance of the restaurant and don’t always realise there’s a queue, you can imagine the chaos and ill feeling that ensues if someone seats themself….some signage would be helpful, staff can’t both serve and keep an eye on arriving guests. Weak fruit juice and only coffee provided as a hot drink, no Tea for anyone with an alternative preference (ie British guests!)

Fint stort værelse, med en hyggelig lille altan. Med hængekøje. Omgivelserne er også OK. Morgenmad var god - Alt i alt et rigtigt fint sted

Ikke det varmeste vand i brugseren. Stedet trænger til at bliver frisket lidt op nogen steder. Skygge ved Poolen, så hvis man har til hensigt at ligge der, skal man ikke booke stedet.

Room is very spacious with a small balcony. Breakfast was included. Propoerty has a cute pool and bar next to the pool. Staff were very polite and helpful.

wish we had more pillows but also we didnt ask for more so cant really complain.
