Millmead Apartment in central Guildford with parking

This is a nice 2 bedroom apartment within easy reach of Guildford town centre and the railway station is 7 minutes walk away. It is well equipped and has everything that you would need to have an enjoyable stay. The apartment is clean and the beds are very comfortable. Whilst we were there the weather was very cold (-2c at night) and the central heating went off due to low system pressure. After my phone call the owner came round in about 30 minutes and fixed it for us. First class service.

The bathroom could do with refurbishment and only has a small electric towel rail for heating. As stated previously it was very cold when we stayed so this might not be a problem in milder weather. The apartment is nicely furnished but there are very few sockets in each room. For example both bedrooms had attractive table lamps, but nowhere to plug them in. Multi-plug extensions were available in each room, but can get overloaded and be a trip hazard in my opinion.

Really easy to get to, very clean and tidy and very close to shops, restaurants and train station. We had a great stay!

The host was very kind and communicative. There was no issue with the instructions and policy. All was clear and we enjoyed our stay. I'd recommend it to my friends and family. The kitchen was well-equipped. The flat had everything we needed. It was very clean and welcoming. The shower was amazing too.

The apartment was a good size, beds were reasonably comfy, kitchen was well equipped enough for us to make a roast dinner.

Parking was narrow access, the apartment itself is functional but has been done on a budget. Much of the decor is tired and could do with a refurb. The shower is a manual mixer and so is difficult to get a constant temperature, also re the shower it has one fixed position on the wall rather than a riser rail to adjust it. Net curtains or similar are needed in the bedrooms, the back bedroom is overlooked and so privacy was a bit of an issue.

Very basic decor (the abundant wood chip wallpaper and the lampshades reminded us of our student days in the 1970s!) Apart from the kitchen there were too few power sockets - we were worried about potential electricity overloads because of the extensive use of extension leads. Poor lighting.

Wasn't sure which side of the buidling the door to the property was on. Very hard to see as no outside lights. Driveways very steep. No corkscrew in the property.

The location was perfect for walking around Guildford.

The double bed was quite uncomfortable. There were lots of "rules" to. follow in the information email.
