Shamokin Bed and Breakfast

Size was awesome. The history was cool to see too!

It was a little dirty.

We never went in. Picture of outside is definitely edited and street view images are definitely old. From the outside, very run down building sandwiched between two other very run down buildings in what seemed to be a pretty sketchy neighborhood. My wife and I didn't feel comfortable leaving our car outside overnight. Sorry to judge a book by its cover, but if you have a bad feeling, go with your gut. Maybe the inside was nicer, but I'll never know based on the outside and the surroundings. I'm just glad I didn't pay too much for my non-refundable booking.

Decent water pressure in shower.

Owners are hands off. They do not actually have breakfast or any food or services. You will have to find parking on a side street in probably one of the worst parts of town. The only air conditioner is a window unit that is in the closet, not in use. I did not see any smoke detectors in the room. The bathroom door does not close. The property is dark and not inviting. Room door code lock will require multiple attempts. Bring a fan. Danville has better options.

It was a very comfortable stay everything was nice & clean the gentleman who check me in was very curious & professional highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area
