Resort Maison de Nongkhiaw

Beautiful setting. Stunning views. Very quiet. Large rooms. Nice balconies.

Dangerous pool with nails and broken tiles. Lots of stairs. Hard beds and pillows. Restaurant service average, had to wait nearly 1h30 for food one evening.

Large and clean rooms, free shuttle service to the city.

The location is far from the city, the hotel restaurant has a basic menu with exorbitant prices. The hotel staff charged $70 for a boat ride, double the price in the city! We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and they didn’t clean our rooms throughout the entire stay!

The advertised facilities are not there. No bath and all the other bits they boast.

I had an incredible stay at this property and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nong Khiaw. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and each one offers breathtaking views of the river and mountain, a true retreat into nature. Although the location is slightly outside the city center, the property provides a free shuttle service, which makes getting around extremely convenient. They also offer kayak rentals, perfect for exploring the serene river. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. I accidentally left something in my room and they efficiently arranged for it to be sent to me in Luang Prabang. Their effort and care truly set this place apart. If you’re looking for a peaceful, picturesque getaway with outstanding service, this is probably the best place to stay in Nong Khiaw!

The breakfast was delicious but I would’ve preferred to have fresh juice instead of the bottled one.
