Staff was not very helpful. Very slow service in the restaurant. Even for a basic order 45 minutes plus. They promised a packed breakfast at 6-30 but could not deliver anything even at 7. Pretty small rooms for 15k plus Very expensive

This property is an old style chettinad mansion which has been modernised but retaining most of its original features. It's beautiful to look at but does not live up to its 5 star rating and definitely does not justify its sky high room rates. The staff appear untrained and look baffled at simple requests. Our triple room had a toilet and bathroom within the main bedroom area with just a simple wooden louvre separating door. This clearly offers no privacy whatsoever and is unacceptable for a hotel rating itself 5 star. If you are in the area, this hotel is worth looking at for its decor but there are far better value hotels in the same town.

Absolutely fabulous stay surrounded by beautiful craft and art Staff were amazing and really looked after us nothing was too much and the manager was super helpful and attentive
