Apartment in limerick city

Central location. Sofa-bed was comfortable enough. It was cheap, so despite the drawbacks it was reasonable value for money

Flat is in a large, somewhat shabby, block. The flat needed some TLC: electrical wires hanging out of the wall in the hall, power sockets not working in one bedroom, only warm water from the cold tap in the en suite shower room, other parts showing their age. Tumble dryer was full of damp towels, but the dryer wasn't included in the listing so I can't complain; but it is indicative.

We turned up to the accommodation at the set time. A colleague of the owner was there to meet us with the key. The surroundings and buildings did not look up to our standard of normal Booking.com accommodation. The lift up to the 1st floor apartment had all broken knobs for up/down and didnt function without the key fob. We didn't know this and got shut in the lift... the colleague had gone up the stairs with the key. He was unaware of this as well. Fortunately a person staying in the building came to use lift and let us out.

The website stated 3 bedrooms, there were only 2. The 3rd bedroom had a futon and was in the dining room.... this did not show on the advertisement picture's. It was unsuitable for a couple and 2 older women travelling. Apartment was booked for 2 nights. Nowhere to sit comfortably. There was an unusual odor in the apartment, despite ALL windows being opened wide. The kitchen area was not the same as advertised. There were loose wires hanging out the wall by the door entry. The compact bathroom/shower didnot appear clean. A washing machine was advertised, but was broken. When we spoke with the owner, she stated there was no washing machine advertised, but could bring one the next day which wasn't satisfactory. She also became very aggressive and abusive when we stated the apartment was not up to our standard and cut our phone call off. Of note the floor coverings in the hallways into the apartment were old, stained, dirty/shabby. Smokey corridors and people down in foyers sitting on floors ? smoking????

They description says 3 bed room apartment but it was a 2 bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the leaving room

It’s was lovely and clean and the lady we met at the start was lovely and was very helpful.

Walking in at the start the entrance was a bit scary but the apartment made up for it massively.
