Greenhouse Apartments by Urban Rest

This property has so much potential to be great, but the absolute lack of any customer service left us feeling completely ripped off. Our room was located directly above a noisy garage door that kept us awake everyday from 6am onwards. I emailed the management and offered to pay for a more expensive room if we could move for our two week stay. My email was completely ignored. My partner sent a similar email and finally got a response - after FIVE DAYS. We could see online that there were rooms available, yet management lied and said they were fully booked. I run a film studio and we have many movie clients coming and going from the area. There is no way I can honestly recommend this place to any of them.

The apartment and location were fantastic. Our stay was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The booking process and pre check-in was difficult and very frustrating. Tried booking through Airbnb, which was absolutely hopeless.

Central location, fully furnished, new and clean. We had a room that didn't include parking. Tip if you have a car: We just parked in the Woolies carpark across the rd (it closes at 10pm each night but we didn't need the car at night) and had no issues! Also the Bali restaurant across the rd is really good and BYO any alcohol!

I was unwell the night before we checked out, I wanted to see if there was any flexibility for a slightly later check out, which was a no, as other guests were checking in that afternoon. I understand there are strict check out times for a reason, even 15 minutes would have made things a bit less stressful. The bed also is on wheels and they didn't lock so it rolled around a bit and night. And perhaps an extra chair on the balcony just so two people can sit out there.

This small but classy apartment was ideal for our two night stay. The location was a 40 minute walk into Auckland, however the local area is also vibrant. The sunny balcony has a lovely view. Instructions for access were thorough and clear.

I was located on the Mezzanine floor. While there were no sounds from Traffic (which was surprising) there was noise from what I think was the opening and closing of the B1 Basement Carpark Door. It did detract a little from the room as it could be a little annoying at times.
