SOINN Jonker Guesthouse By Nestcove

Near to the Jonker Street and some of the tourist attractions. Is face to the Malacca river as well, have not bad view~

It's not suitable for small kids and elderly to stay, because there have 2 staircase, first one is for you to climb up to reach the entrance. The second one is in the house, the staircase is to the 1st floor. The second staircase is spiral staircase and very slanted and narrow. The bed concept is camping concept, is put on the floor, is not suitable for elderly. Both of the toilet is at upstairs, so it not convenient for kids and elderly~ During stay until check out, the wifi is not able to connect even the they said already call the service centre to settle the problem. In the night is heavy raining, the ceiling got a hole and the rain water flow down from the ceiling, they ask us to put the towel on the floor to absorb the water, that's all. Luckily is not rain for the whole night, if not I think we will busy with the rain water~ I hope owner can fix the leaking as fast as possible

Wifi did not work, batteries in outside digital door handles were bad, so we were not able to leave the apparment…

Location

No safety at all. Incase of fire we cannot escape. The Gate door (sliding) very difficult to open. We have to try multiple times to open the front sliding door. Room door is okay.

There is no Breakfast provided by the host.The location is a bit far from the nearest car park.

There is no Washroom or washing basin in the ground floor and its inconvenient for family.

The location was superb. Jonker Street is less than 5 minutes or less from the guesthouse. My children love the room a lot. The tentage concept makes the place so cozy. I thought it would be hot inside the tent while sleeping on the bed, but it is actually cold with the fan turned on. We have the river view apartment, which is another bonus to the stay. Although there are one or two negative points, but the overall experience of staying in the guesthouse was fantastic.

There is no basin on the first floor. So any simple washing, like hands and the dishes, will have to be done on the second floor. The basin is also too small for washing the dishes.  There is also a struggle on the first day when trying to enter with the digital lock. It is not easy, even with the instructions provided.

Property was as described and at a great location - right next to river and Jonker Street. Many banks, eateries, boarding point for boat rides and shops are very close. There is a free drinking water dispenser at the near by tourist police station.

A wash basin in the pantry area would have helped avoid trips for fetching water for cooking or washing. A bit noisy during weekend nights due to the cafes located below.
