The linen especially towels and bath mat were not up to standard for the apartment. Bleach stains on all towels and bath mat.

This is a really great apartment. Very easy to find and the parking felt very safe. What is nice is it is in a populated area yet it was very very quiet. The apartment itself has no neighbours attached to the block on the sides so there is no noise. The block has four floors with one apartment on each floor, we didn't see or hear anyone for the whole stay. The view is amazing even at night when the bridge and the Portbury dock is all lit up. The walk into Portishead is really pretty along the marina and nice and easy. There is a big Waitrose, Aldi and Lidl in the town and a Co-op on the Marina, the kitchen is very well equipped for self catering, however, there are plenty of options in the town to eat and they cater for all budgets. Very friendly people, very dog friendly (especially Cockerpoos) and also a lot of runners doing the nice loop around the nature reserve and town. It feels very safe. The nature reserve is just to the left of the apartment and is a nice area and also the walk to Battery Point is well worth doing.

A guide would have been nice, how to work the tele, heating and also where the external bin is. (Maybe there was one we didn't look very hard for it).

Loved the location, fantastic views over the water. The owner has made it very easy to get into the property with codes for doors, communication was great, we knew exactly what to do to park and get in. Numbered parking space so easy. There is everything you could need in the kitchen for self catering. Comfy sofa seating and a balcony for good weather. Within a very short walk plenty of places to eat, drink and shop.Sadly we only had two days there, but would stay longer next time.

Just be aware if you are booking there are several flights of stairs up to the apartment. Of course that is why it is a penthouse, the view is worth it. If you struggle with stairs it would a problem. Not a complaint just a fact. The stairway is safe and strong,several landings to rest between the flights, just a lot of steps.
