"Overall, my stay was very pleasant and enjoyed the apartment. Was very cosy and clean."

9.0

House felt cosy and was very clean and tidy. Could not fault the property.

The kitchen was missing a microwave otherwise kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms need lamps upgrading as 1 was working and the other one wasn’t. The smaller room needs lamps upgrading as it wasn’t very appealing. At night there was alot of noise from the neighbours which made it difficult to sleep at night but its something not in the hosts control. There should be an intercom in the property to allow people staying in the apartment to allow visitors access to the property and not be controlled remotely.

"Less luxury than budget accommodation in a very pleasant part of London. Parking is a problem."

6.0

The location of the property is good, tucked away in a side street very near the main shopping street. It's up a flight of stairs and first along a landing. The block of flats is protected by a key-coded gate. The flat itself is roomy; a good sized kitchen, living room, downstairs loo, two big bedrooms and a bathroom (with an over-bath shower, which worked well). There is free easy to access wifi (but you do need to look at the router box in the sitting room to find the wifi and the passcode). There is a mahoosive flat screen TV on the wall in the sitting room. Contact with the owner was instant and efficient.

Some of the light fittings hang very low and we kept bumping our heads on them. There was no tin opener, egg cup, frying pan, scales, measuring jug, or microwave in the kitchen. None of the plugs in the kitchen or bathroom sinks kept the water in the sink - they all need replacing. The front door was hard to open; at one point a neighbour stopped to help us. The key turned in the lock, but the door wouldn't open. There were no instructions about how anything in the flat worked. The worst thing was the parking. It looks from the photographs provided as if it's possible to park in the compound, behind the key-code gates, but on delving further into the advertisement for this property, it turns out that there is parking on a nearby street, which is accidentally free (at the moment). We arrived on a week day when we assume people were out at work, but I can imagine at the weekend, this free parking would all be taken. A number of residents on that street had put out cones asking people not to park there, and it was a very long road, so if everyone who lives there is parked there, it would be a long walk back from a parking space to the flat.

The shop is very close to the property where you can easily get groceries. We arrived late in the evening. We would have loved to go back out to have some recreation but we couldn’t. As we noticed that we need a key code to get back in through the entrance except we bell someone remotely to gain access through the gate , which we were not comfortable with as we didn’t want to want to inconvenience neighbours. Except that everything was great 👍🏽

The mattress was uncomfortable but manageable
