Elterwater Park self catering

Lovely location, great set up, comfy beds. Dogs allowed Right on Cumbria way so can set on hiking from your door.

Shower was awful, lacking in power and varied between icy cold and scalding hot, every minute. No steady warm stream of water. Dogs allowed accommodation but not dog friendly, you pay £10 a night for dog to have to keep them locked behind a gate in another room.

We had a lovely stay here! The waterfall nearby is beautiful and the surrounds are to die for! The honesty cafe was really cute too! The only thing we had an issue with was no oven and the pictures made us expect an oven which was a bit disappointing. A bath would have been wonderful but the heating was perfect and made the barn super snuggly. Our hosts were brilliant and even helped us find a missing earring

Was warm and it was nice to have the little outside area. Nice touches with the baked goods outside.

It was really tired, a bit unloved and needed redecorated. The bathroom really needed a good scrub, there was fungus growing on the floor by the sink.

Spacious property, cleanliness, onsite parking

Fridge and microwave next to bed when there is a separate kitchen to accommodate them, fridge was noisy and not very practical.

It was spacious, quiet and homely accommodation.

Musty smell No recycling

Beautiful location, lovely walks in the area, close to Ambleside and Windermere.

No curtains on the main door in the kitchen so it felt a little exposed at night.

The peaceful location

No views from any window, in such a lovely location We found this very disappointing.

Loved the location! So peaceful with easy access to local towns. Also loved the accommodation - very comfortable, well kitted out and clean. The home made flapjacks and ice cream honesty boxes were such a lovely offering for walkers and us! 😉 Will definitely be back soon! 👌
