Private garden apartment with secure parking

The apartment was very well equipped , clean and a good size . It was private , and had parking directly outside the door which made it handy for bringing in luggage , and had easy check in / out with keysafe and gate codes . The apartment was also perfectly situated within walking distance of the promenade and local amenities . The host Marie was lovely and came to welcome us when we arrived, she also lives in the house attached to the apartment, which gave us peace of mind that if there were any problems we could easily contact her . We only stayed for one night as a pit stop on a long journey, but would definitely book here again for a longer stay .

The only minor issue was a musty smell throughout the apartment which we could smell fairly strongly as soon as we opened the front door , but after leaving the patio doors open for a while it was fine . It wasn't a huge problem for us as the apartment was otherwise lovely , but that was the first thing we noticed when we walked in and it may be off putting for some of the more particular guests . It gave us the impression the apartment was going to be dirty , which it wasn't as it had been cleaned thoroughly......Maybe a few electric plug ins dotted around would help combat this ? Again , that was the only very minor issue in an otherwise lovely overnight stay and we wouldn't hesitate to book again .

Spacious and comfortable. Secure and quiet. Nice part of town.

Heating controls were tricky to operate but we managed and if not I'm sure the host would have been quick to help.

Lovely place, with a very comfortable bed (so much so we overslept, but Marie was kind enough to give us an extra 15 mins to vacate!) Did not try the shower, but there were lots of towels and some toiletries provided. We really appreciated the chocolate biscuits, and having some proper milk left for us. A good location for us, near family, and a 20mins-ish walk into town, where there is a wide assortment of restaurants and pubs.

Whilst the place itself was clean, the coffee machine and the cafetiere were not. There was also a doggy smell, which is fine, it's a pet friendly place, but might put non-dog people off.

Nice & comfortable had everything you need even some milk in the fridge! Sun trap yard at the back. Very quiet & peaceful.
