The location across from the beach was, or would have been nice had we stuck around.

Below this paragraph is what I messaged to management after informing them we would not be staying a second night, even though the cost of our second night was nonrefundable. We figure we paid close to $1200 for 2 nights, so roughly $600 a night. We wound up paying full freight for 2 nights but left after 1 night and sucked up the cost. The room was just so awful that going home early was a relief. Our message to management: This place is absolutely, appallingly awful. We will not be staying here for another night. It's really a noisy, miserable experience; the room is claustrophobic; the bathroom floor is sticky and if you try to use the molded plastic, teeny tiny shower, water leaks all over the floor, drenching the bathmat on the other side of a cheap shower curtain; there's no counter space in the bathroom so our toothbrushes, etc. have to sit on the back of the toilet. We'd rather just go home. I understand we have to suck up the cost, which at almost $600 a night is really outrageous. There are roadside motels that are likely much nicer. This is by far the worst hotel experience we've had in decades. The claim that it's an 'historic' inn so we should accept these conditions is ludicrous. There's no charm in the decor and nothing about our sparsely furnished room suggests 'historic.' There aren't enough outlets in the room to charge our devices, and the one we used overheated my charger. The bulb in my nightstand lamp is dead. I could go on. We've stayed at Icona properties in Wildwood and Avalon and enjoyed much nicer facilities at a relatively comparable cost. This glorified boarding house really tarnishes the Icona brand.

Excellent hotel with great location across the street from the beach. Very convenient having our own reserved parking space, beach towels, bicycles, and beach passes. Allison and Bob were simply OUTSTANDING!

Guess should expect to pay $60–$70 extra daily to cover multiple taxes and fees. Amelia’s Restaurant was a little pricey.

The staff was incredibly friendly. Allison greeted us with great enthusiasm and was so welcoming! We loved the extras: bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and the location! Room was very clean, spacious bathroom. Coffee all day!

The staff at the front desk was so welcoming and very helpful. The room was immaculate.

The only downside was the tiny shower and the water temperature was inconsistent in the morning.
